Hey guys and gals, it's ol' Mr.Ixolite again.
First Spotlight of the new year belongs to Anathema.
They are an exciting European guild of experienced and mature players that will be going on the FFA PvP server.

The people of Anathema are first and foremost all friends... we emphasize on maturity, dedication, activity, humor, loyalty, respect and honor.
...We're a small guild compared to many other guilds out there, but as I've already mentioned, we only recruit real quality. So basically this is a choice we've made. We'd rather do it right the first time

Hey guys and gals, it's ol' Mr.Ixolite again.
When we started Spotlighting guilds way back eight months ago, we were under the impression that the game would be out, well, already. Alot has changed since and many guilds have changed with them. As many guilds are a living and breathing community organism, you can't expect it to remain constant. So, we will be looking at new spotlights from some of my favorite old guilds and see what's new.
First up are the totally awesome triple Leaders of the Rising Arms.

The people of our guild vary greatly. We have teenagers and we have members in their forties and everyone gets along like they have known each other for years and we have only been together a few months. Many of our members, like myself, love to socialize and that brings everyone together and has built strong relationships that are vital to an idle guild waiting for a title to be released.

All in all though, we try and choose a theme in a game we can stick with and that fits so we can be more a part of the game instead of just a clan IN a game. Also, we always have some form of AWARDS and HONORS that people can achieve and display with pride. Then the biggest thing we have had since 1993 when DC started is a very special small team o the best of the best. It has been called "The Dreads", "Royal Guard", "Praetorians" and a few others, it always means the same thing, THE BEST.

We are currently the most active Australian/Oceanic guild in the AoC community. We have an official, custom designed, guild-endorsed clothing line which consists of T-shirts/Hooded tops and embroidered logo, which will be available for purchase to Primal Fury members very soon. Plus, we hear that the world loves Aussies, so I guess that makes us unique ;)

As far as newcomers are concerned, I guess you can't really tell the difference until you've felt it on your own skin. In a way, this guild is like a solid marriage; not always about flowers and sunshine, but it sticks. For good.

We are a tight knit group of hardcore players. Many of our members have been playing together since early 2006. We started on the Venekor RP PVP server of Everquest 2 where we dominated most of the PVE content and quickly made a name for ourselves in PVP. Boredom set in and we began looking for a new game to play. We found Age of Conan and haven't looked back since. We take our games seriously; "Girlfriends come and go, but Epics are soulbound."

(Our structure is) Inspired by the Roman Republic..All leadership positions will not be static but can change and would be attainable by all members...My hope for the Imperium is for it to take on a life of its own and with a well defined structure that lets all the members have a role and place in determining its future. I don't want people to feel that they are mere members of a guild, but to feel that they are actively building and maintaining the Imperium, that the Imperium is their home, their community.

We have a casual/hardcore base (more hardcore then not it appears), but just as long as a person can contribute regularly we welcome them to join. Aside from that we are a multi-gaming guild following both Age of Conan and Warhammer Online. That gives the members the unique ability to still stay within the guild as a whole, but still have options regarding what they wish to play.

...We are presently 300+ strong...Despite our previous successes, we don't fear change. We are very confident in our ability to add in players from across the spectrum. We learned many lessons and are applying them to VG and AoC. We will permit every member an opportunity to be involved in our Clan Government and Military, based upon their interest and motivation. We aren't simply sitting on our laurels; we want EVERY member to feel VG is THEIR guild, and not to think or feel they are joining 'our' guild.
