FeyraN, leader of ProJekt.Sei was outgoing enough to answer my questions with very little hassle on my part ;) here we go:

Who are the people of your guild?
Everyone in our guild that we have sent out invitations to (not the ones that applied) have been very notable players in previous MMORPGs. After the decline of RFOnline and all of us quit I gathered the best players from different races, clans, and servers including 6 Race Leaders (the #1 player of that race) and formed this guild for another game so we can play together but on the same side this time around. All of our members are hardcore players that have the ambition to be best.

As people, I find that everyone in our guild is sociable and interesting. We talk away and have fun while we grind and do PvP. Since the majority of us are friends from previous games we get along easily and have already developed chemistry with each other while playing games. You can't expect to find drama in this guild at all. Although, as kind and friendly as we are to our guildies and friends, enemies and people outside of our guild can find us to be complete assholes as we often set out to cause trouble ;)

Unlike most other guilds out there, we aren't here to set out to make friends. We are here setting out to win. Another thing unique about us is the amount of pride we have for our guild. No one in our guild is just another member, and everyone in our guild is someone known to the population on our server.

What is unique about your guild?
As far as how things run within our guild, I can't really think of any guild like us. We play together pretty much 99% of the time, and we back each other like family no matter what you do. We value capability, activeness, and chemistry above all else. Unlike most other guilds out there, we aren't here to set out to make friends. We are here setting out to win. Another thing unique about us is the amount of pride we have for our guild. No one in our guild is just another member, and everyone in our guild is someone known to the population on our server. This guild is made up of ambitious hardcore players and unlike other guilds who have both hardcore and casual, we don't have any casuals in our guild. We want our guild tag to have meaning.

What is your take on Role Playing?
Although there are a lot of people out there that do roleplay in-game, I honestly don't see the purpose or how it could be fun. Then again different people like different things. I personally just enjoy socializing with my guildies and carry conversations either about the game or just stuff that's happening in our world. I kind of think roleplaying is for those who just ran out of things to talk about.

What is your current guild size?
We weren't originally looking to go pass 15 members, and were originally planning on playing Aion. Aion doesn't seem to want to release anytime soon, so we decided to play Age of Conan. From what we gathered it seemed that Age of Conan is a game that requires more people in order to run a guild efficiently. All the resource gathering, battle-keep sieges, prestige class bonuses just seemed to reward larger guilds more. So we invited more of our friends from previous MMOs and got up to around 25-30 while there are still some that haven't replied. We've also picked up a few through our guild thread on the official forums bringing us to about 35 members.

What is your main time zone?
Although most of us live in the states we don't have a main time zone. All of our members play at least 8 hours a day, most play at least 12 and with some playing for more than 16. People should be expecting to see us on at any given time.

How do you look on interaction with other guilds?
As far as I'm concerned I don't really care how my members interact with other guilds. I really don't mind how our reputation turns out as far as what kind of people we are. The only reputation I'm concerned about is how well we play and what kind of characters we have. I'm quite sure most of the other guilds would end up hating us. ProJekt.Sei is designed to be a self-sufficient guild where we level together, fight together, pvp together, and play together in all aspects. This guild is the family that you support and is the family that supports you.

How is your guild structured socially (ranks, groups...)?
As tight a guild as we are we really find no use for ranks. I don't think you can just pick out a guy who's dedicated and tell him he's an officer or give him some high rank and expect him to lead. There are so many people out there that ask me "Hey, are there still officer ranks open in your guild. I was an officer for so-and-so guild or I was the leader of so-and-so guild." I kind of wonder when they say that to me: what does that have to do with my guild? I mean you're dealing with 2 separate guilds, entirely different set of people so you can't expect to have things ran the same way. Your previous guild had chemistry with you being an officer, but that doesn't mean that we will.

Most guilds out there just pick up the first few people that join or people that have been dedicated and just hands them leading positions taking in no consideration whether or not that person is a capable leader. There are so many different types and kinds of leader. There are soft and passive leaders and there are strict and demanding leaders, and that really depends on what kind of guild you are. Then there are the different types of leading: Strategists, Commanders, Organizers, Rulers just to list a few. Someone may be a really good strategist and can come up with amazing plans for people to follow, but they aren't good at carrying them out or having people execute the plans. Commanders are those who can have people execute strategies, and boost up everyone's morale, but they aren't necessarily good at creating plans. A ruler is someone who can effectively keep his guild together, and handle foreign diplomacies and politics. I just don't think it's smart to just throw in someone who joins early and say hey, you're 2nd highest rank you have command over everyone under you in all types of leading.

In ProJekt.Sei we pretty much have no ranking system. If someone's a good commander and he does well people will expect him to and look for him to command next time. If someone's does well creating strategies then people would expect him to come up with more strategies. I believe it's better this way because it allows people to show their capabilities and reduce drama caused by rankings. It also gives new people a chance to show what they can and there won't be people saying stuff like "we're not going to listen to you, or you can't lead because you're too low of a rank"

What is your take on player cities?
Player cities is one of the best aspects in this game to me. A number of us have played Lineage 2 in the past and we enjoyed the castle sieges and this will bring back many memories. Every guild plans on building a battle-keep or city so there's no question about our intentions as well. It will be one of ProJekt.Sei's ambitions to hold as many cities and to siege as many cities as possible.

What is your take on in-game taxes and loot distribution?
We don't plan on having in-game taxes to start off with, but we'll scale it up as the game progresses. It really depends on what money can be used for. If money can be used to help build cities and raise armies then we'll have a higher tax, but if that's based on resource extraction then we'll have a lower tax. If it's based only on resources only then it depends on whether or not resource is worth spending money to invest in. It is too unclear on what money is used for

Equipment loot will be distributed to our best player who needs it and goes down from there. Whoever is our top player that could use that piece of equipment can put better use of it than any other person. If we get that same piece of equipment then it would go to the second best, and so on. If we find an even better piece of the same type of equipment like an even better weapon, then our best would take it and pass down his previous piece. People who play more, and are higher up deserve better equipment because they use it more, and put it to better use.

I pretty much play MMOs just for the PvP aspects. There is nothing more exciting to me then the rush I get when doing large scale PvP. If the battle-keep system and the resource system works well. It would be a very interesting concept in defending your battle-keep as well as your resource points.

What excites you most about Age of Conan?
The Border Kingdoms. I plan on spending a lot of time there for PvP and the battle-keep sieges. I pretty much play MMOs just for the PvP aspects. There is nothing more exciting to me then the rush I get when doing large scale PvP. If the battle-keep system and the resource system works well. How are you planning on communicating in-game (raids, sieges etc...)?
We have a 100-man high quality ventrilo server. We require all of our members to be on vent while they are playing. Communication is very important in building chemistry and teamwork.

What are you looking for in a potential member?
To keep it short we look for chemistry, play-time, and ambition. Anyone who strives to be the best, and can put forth the effort to be the best. Active thinkers are also a plus. It's more much interesting when our members can come up with new ideas to play more efficiently.
