Orion has posted on our Game Issues forum, requesting that all comments and questions on this months monster rebalancing be collated in one place - namely, the AC:DM Forums.

Please confine all questions for the development team on the rebalancing to the thread Orion has started on the AC:DM boards - this should make it easier to get as many questions as possible answered.

Our very own Optim Shi has updated his Creature Mapper tool! This tool is a stand-alone program, working from the data collected by the Navi III plugin to produce a customizable map of creature spawns. Instructions are included with the download for generating fresh data from Navi III's output.

This version adds the following:

  • Added Species Filter
  • Added "Draw All" Option (Good for displaying all of a species, or even every spawn in the database! It can be time consuming...)
  • Fixed a bug in locales that use a comma for the decimal seperator (Thanks Wolfpaw of Wintersebb!)
The updated download can be found here.

Also, while you're out and about investigating the changes this month has brought to Dereth's fauna, please submit screenshots of any changed monster attributes or appearances to our Patch Tree. Submissions will be transferred from there to our Compendium with full credit - so this is your chance to become immortalized in the pages of our Creature Compendium!

It seems that Nuhmudira's extensive research into the lifestones has paid off, but the results are different from what we are used to. Who will be brave enough to test them? Monsters are up in arms over the changes to their skills this month and all across the land people are talking about it. Find out more in this month's developer's notes in our Patch Tree or click below.

Thanks to Andrew Johnson for keeping us on our toes!

I'm sure you have all noticed the groups of Drudges scampering about the land of Dereth recently getting in shape for the upcoming Chess Tournament.

Gronk, the Drudge King on Telan's Chess team, had this to say in an interview:

"Yes, well, we're runnin and jumpin and practicin and marchin and stuff. We'll be ready for the game when it starts. We have really sharp swords ya know. HEY!! YOU PAWNS!! YES YOU!! GET OFF THAT REED SHARK"

Unfortunately the interview was cut short as Gronk had to go chasing off after part of his team.

Scrolls have been Posted at all the Inns and Taverns around Dereth displaying the names of those who have registered for the Trounament so far.

If you would like to register for the Tournament, get out your scrolls and quills and portal a note to Sundancer, of Leafcull. You need to include, Your Main Character's name and home World. The name of the Chessplayer character on Leafcull. A contact Email address, and your name and mailing address should you win.

The fine folks at Turbine are back at it again. After showing off their school colors at South Tenkarrdun Foundry University (STFU), they've now introduced the famous Tusker Island T-Shirt for sale!.

You better hurry up and get them quick, because rumor has it that Ketnan is none too pleased and is threatening to sue for copyright infrigement--after all, he had the shirts first. :)

Thanks to Furiae of Leafcull for this information!

There's just something glorious in reading Chin-Wa's Journey this week. He goes to The Island to fight - not the one YOU'RE thinking.

And learns that fragments take an entire group of people to put down! He even "gasp", ventures beyond Sho borders this week. It's just a lovely thing to read.

Jonathan Steinhauer's MMO Column

The archetypal concept of the tank assumes that PvE opponents have the mental capacity of cattle. Instead of a monster intelligently attacking what would make his enemy most vulnerable (the Healer) or what is the greatest actual threat (the DPS), it attacks the one opponent that isthe smallest real threat and the hardest to kill: the Rodeo Clown... er Tank

Ze clan wiz ze mozt high ranking playerz (mai non?) would like uz to join zhem in zelebrating zheir sucezz.

Just wanted to let you know the Clan Z over on FF (Monarch is Zuizide) just got rank 10 for 156 of its members (I believe this is the largest number of rank 10's in a single clan). Boosting the largest clan and chain on FF (run by Sprawl) with over 300+ members, everyone in the chain over level 100 has rank. You can see our website at http://zchain.doesntexist.com to verify our list if you would like.

Congratulationz on your accomplizhment! You can alzo view zheir Guild Hall lizting here.

Oh, see, I didn't forget.

...well, I'm only posting this a few hours after the last one... and could 'ave done it right away, though I did forget...

[blockquote]We make it to a "special" area, with "special" hooms, "special" for the fact that they use some quest weapons and insult you.

It was wonderful.

This one guy implied this was my first time out of the BSD.

I killed that guy extra.[/blockquote]

Part three's Thursday, after the patch... still, no waiting months to years on me.

And there's quite possibly a higher body count than in Return of the King.

Another stealing method becoming popular...tch tch tch...

It seems some people are going around asking to view your armor, then, after you put the first piece in the trade window, they will then close the trade window as you try to place next piece in, causing you to drop your item. Many items have been stolen over the last few days, so please use caution if someone asks to view your armor in the trade window.

Thanks to Cyrano de Bergerac of Thistledown for the info!

Konbanwa! The name's Faulkon, and I just wanted to introduce myself to all you reader-type folk, seeing as I'm part of the crew now.

I must say I'm honored to be working alongside such great people like Ophelea, Zenaph, and everyone else here (if I wrote down everyone's name, this'd be real long and stuff. Not what I'm going for here. You understand). I'm working as the new Librarian, and I'm gonna be assisting Zen in organizing the Lore section, it seems. Will I be busy? I dunno. I hope so, though! I wanna do stuff for my favorite AC site!

I look forward to working on the Library, and hopefully I won't screw up anytime soon. Heh...not that I actually INTEND to screw up or anything. Really. Honestly!

Uh, by the way, you moderators keep backup data for the site, right? No reason, just asking...*whistles innocently*
