About the Game

Fiesta Online was developed by the Korean studio Ons On Soft but all rights to it were recently purchased by the European publishing conglomerate, Gamigo. The aesthetic is decidedly Asian-themed and it's free to play store is full of cosmetic items, but there's a lot of interesting concepts in Fiesta you don't see in many other MMOs.

You can set up your own store in Fiesta and set your prices for items. Other players can walk into your store - it helps to give your storefront a descriptive and catchy name - and purchase items, even when you're offline. There's a whole strategy to setting up your shop, including finding the best spots in crowded areas like cities in the world of Isya.

There's also a novel system for in-game marriages. You first purchase a wedding application and ring, then propose to your spouse. If accepted - let's hope he/she says yes - a worldwide message is displayed on every player's screen. You can then invite up to 30 other players to your ceremony, and they get teleported to a special chapel instance to witness your ingame nuptials.

Academies are structures within player guilds which formalize the process of leveling up your "younger" characters. You get bonuses for belonging to your guild's academy and you graduate when you reach the level cap of 60, but if you break the rules and are booted, you can't join any other guild's academy.

Of course, there's a whole bunch of standard ideas too. The class system has your typical mix of tanks, healing, and DPS like Archers, Fighters, Mages, and Clerics. In Fiesta, you can also play as the Trickster class which is a analogous to a rogue with its close range melee abilities, but you can also enhance your attacks by harvesting the souls of your enemies. Nasty.
