About the Game

Currently in beta for North America and the rest of the world outside of Russia, Prime World is a MOBA in the strict sense of the word, but it also includes a metagame of castle building and a CCG-like mechanic for the collecting of talents for your warrior.

The story of Prime World pits two factions - Dokht Imperium and Keepers of Adornia - against each other as the vie for control over the imaginary resource of "Prime". Right now, there are 64 heroes available, 32 for each faction. Each hero can level up independently and choose from a shared pool of 320 "talents", in addition to 9 specific talents for each hero. You level up your character in your castle, constructing buildings and purchasing talents using resources you collect.

Nival has many neat things planned to make Prime World unique including tablet (iOS & Android) companion apps, and Facebook integration to easily build out your friends list and challenge them to a match. There's also a plethora of modes planned, not just the 3 lane battlefields you've seen in other MOBAs. So far Nival's announced the PVE focused Dragonwald, single-lane and fast-paced Outpost, the defence-based Homeland and Apocalypse, which has you defend against an onrushing horde of zombies. Add to that Shuffle mode - Prime World's answer to ARAM - and this will be a MOBA to watch.
