Fallen Earth: Character Models Updated

The team behind the post-apocalyptic MMO Fallen Earth released a new update featuring their improved character models, complete with comparison screenshots and a promise to release more updates in the near future:

The recent screenshots showing some of the graphical improvements in Fallen Earth™ concentrated on locations and creatres as opposed to characters. We saved our character models for a separate update.

This will be the first in a series of regular updates showcasing different aspects of Fallen Earth. Future updates will focus on locations, vehicles, the tutorial and other aspects of gameplay.

The character screenshots seen here demonstrate the differences between our old models (top) and our new ones (bottom), both in terms of the actual body models and the equipment they are wearing. In addition to making more detailed faces, hair styles, etc., you can see we've updated our clothing, weapons and armor. We continue to have a huge number of equipment slots for each character, as well as a wide variety of customization options like tattoos and face paint, so players will easily be able to create a unique appearance for their character.

The screenshots below depict a character before, then after the update:

Awesome! This game has been in development for a long time. It's good to see they are keeping up with the standards =)

So... the same gear / style you had is now... different?

That's odd.

It's more of a change to the base character model, from an aesthetic standpoint, rather than actual change to gear.

You can clearly see how the physical proportions were off in the older models.
