Facebook Pages & the Games We Love

The latest fad in game development and the dissemination of news seems to be Facebook. Yep, you heard it right: Facebook is the new kid on the news block. Proving that gaming news sites and individual game sites aren't the end-all-be-all, Facebook pages are blossoming.

It's an intelligent move, really. Facebook is an international phenomenon that literally spans the globe. And, truthfully, it's SO much less 'trashy' than MySpace.

As more crop up, we'll keep you posted. In the meantime, YOU tell US your thoughts about this newest rage in gaming.

I never used myspace and have never used facebook, and never will. I hardly have a grasp at what the website really is, anyway. But if I am not mistaken, its not something a gamer frequents. Why move there? Do they think it would be easier to target a non-gaming audience?

I think this is more of a PR move to "cover all bases", through any possible media and venue. The value returned might be lower than, say a big ad on Warcry, but you'll still get a bunch of socialites adding "Jumpgate" to the Friends List, giving more exposure to non-gamers.
