Ok, so I went to the NEX to pick up my copy of DDO, my spouse got her copy at Camp Zama and wants me to get into the game. No biggie, been playing D&D since I was 7. I find my copy of DDO for sale and lo & behold, RFO fucking came out too...well shit. I grabbed myself a copy - a copy, because I know I'm gonna fucking love this game. It's L2 - IN THE FUTURE!!! Without being developed by NCSoft (boohoo I know). SO!

My question is this for you beta testers of RFO - how is it?

I didn't like it at all, sure nice graphic and all. But I wouldn't buy it.

I loved the graphics and character designs, but it just wasn't all that good.

Not my style, RF Online is Faction based. I will stick to Lineage 2 with its FFA.

But if you do not mind that, try it out I guess (considering you already bought a copy).

I played the RFO japanese beta and i thought it was fun and the graphics were nice and all. I didn't play it for that long though because of random other stuff that was going on in RL and such. But i could see were after awhile, RFO would get boring. I never got the chance to pvp and do alot of stuff because i couldn't read the japanese writing. That might be why i found it boring after awhile, im not sure :O

It's really disappointing how much the DAoC community has deteriorated(sp?). Almost every server had over 1000 on prime-time, now you're lucky to have 3000 on at a time in a cluster (4 servers sharing the same frontiers/RvR zones).

Yea I know how ya mean, My one friend played DAoC constantly a few years back, He said when he went back there that almost everyone there had a lvl 60

I'll have you know I'm enjoying my Warrior, my Ranger and my Spritualist...I dont care for PvP just yet...most of that isnt until level 30 anyway.

minimum level to actually damage the chip is 25. it sucks because you dont even need to use the core to get cash, in the say, 6 hours you get to mine in the core, you make about 1.5 mil. go out and fight splinter brats and such for an hour, you can make 1 mil. they made the monetary system suck making it easy as hell to get cash. by the time i hit lvl 15 i had enough for the lvl 40 launcher as well as lvl 40 dual swords and armors.

I have all my lvl ten gear and I'm farming for my spirit sword to make using skills easier...already have 150k+ I like that getting money isnt a chore like in l2 means the economy will kept honest.

One day WoW will make a FFA server, and it will be the greatest thing ever.

actually my dream of dreams would be the WoW game system, FFA(or choose your faction) PvP, L2 art style, and L2 siege warfare.

DAoC has far better sieging. WoWs game system is just grinding wearing questing clothes, but admittingly it works. Their classes are quite nicely developed though, in both PvP/PvE and group PvP/PvE, as no class is really useless in a group, regardless of the situation.

Blizzard won't do it, because most of the people who would go to that type of server are already out playing other MMOs. And Realm warfare done right is a lot better than FFA.
