What do you guys think, is dating actually harder for gamers? I believe so because we spend so much time in our second life (game world) we begin to neglect our real life. Well as an experiment I've created a dating site for gamers, specifically catering towwards WOW players. The site is 100% free and will remain so. Id like to know that, and no, for me and half my friends, its quite easy. Games are meant for fun, not to take over your life, unless your a money farming bot.

I think it depends on the person. You'd be surprised how diverse the gaming population is.
There are your hardcore gamers who brood over their computer screens, like some of us here. And there are casual gamers who actually have lives, like some of us here as well.

The way I see it, "Is Dating hard for gamers?" is kind of like saying, "Is dancing hard for white people?"
The overall consensus and stereotype is that white people can't dance. But I know some white people who have some mad grooves, which for me at least, makes that stereotype invalid.
The same goes with gaming.

depends how much you let the game take over your life... if you do it moderatly then you should be fine if you're one of those "ub3r 1337 pwnz0rz" then yea... good luck lol

We got one of those for a friend's birthday (actually it was like 3 months after his birthday, but we said it was for his birthday) when i was in high school. We blew it up and strapped it into the back seat of my car and drove to his house to pick him up. He thought it was a real person and asked who we had in the car, until he got in, at which point he was cracking up.

Of course he didn't "use" it and refused to keep it. We deflated it and kept it in a duffel bag at my other friend's house for about 2 weeks, when one of our younger friends "used" it, at which point it became his.

I find that when telling a guy that I game alot, it grabs his interest =P. Shame when they find out im rich they get REALLY interested. Yes, that conversation tends to end up with me backslapping them, and I do it with a vengence =D, good times.

I honestly don't think any game has caused me to "neglect my life". If I have free time in my day, i'll sit down with L2 for a few hours. However, i'd never cancel real life plans just to play a game. As long as you simply keep it a hobby rather than an obsession, there's no reason for any game to take over your life.

Dating was not hard for me I had plenty of GFs but they all ended in "You love the game more" type crap. I never understood how they thought the game was competing for my time. Now my fiance plays with me so I know I got a winner.
