If there are fires in the forests, it's global warming! If there aren't, it's global warming! If there's a hurricane, it's global warming! If there isn't, it's global warming! If there's a tornado, it's global warming! If there's not, it's global warming! If the glaciers are melting in Iceland, it's global warming! If they're not in Greenland, it's global warming! It's the theory of everything and like early theories of God it's simply a way for the lazy to avoid having to think about difficult questions. Bah. Go to bed. |
 Posts: 8722 Joined: 25 Jun 2003 | The term "global warming" is taken to mean, by the average idiot to be "global WARMING", and they think that colder-than-normal weather is proof that global warming doesn't exist. The problem is that "global warming" is a badly named term to cover erratic global climate CHANGE due to increased greenhouse gases. The actual effects can be warming, cooling, flooding, volcanoes, everything environmental. But despite that, it does seem to be a convenient catch-all for any abnormal activity that could possibly be explained by other phenomena. I can think of many other religions that operate the same way... It's because of "God". However, once again, it's NOT religion... it's science. It's being convoluted by religion of course as they normally like to convolute the truth into thruthiness. It's what 'works' for them. :D |
