Hey guys, long time no talk =p

Anyways, I'm wanting to get a headset, but I need some advice. I heard Chi talking about how much Skullcandy gives him orgasms so I thought I'd check it out. I'm all for getting a pair, but I need some help deciding. Most of the stuff I seen seems to be only headphones, not headsets, I suppose I could buy a mic for it but I'd rather have both together.

From what I've gathered only the Ti, and Skullcrushers come in "multimedia" options with mics. The Ti is in stock and looks cool, but it's freaking 90 bucks, I was wanting something a littttttle bit cheaper. The Skullcrushers are 70 bucks but out of stock until freaking may.

So, long story short, I think I found a site that has them in stock, but I've never heard of it before so I don't know if I should risk it. Anyways, I want your opinion:

http://www.skullcandy.com/shop/ti-p-7.html
http://www.skullcandy.com/shop/skullcrushers-p-1.html AKA: http://www.educational-software.com/skullcandy-skullcrusher-subwoofer-multimedia-headphones-black-details.html
(Those are the same as the ones listed on skullcandy right? say's their multimedia and everything and the site looks legit)

Or should I go for a cheaper, perfectly fine:

Are the Ti worth it? Does the linked Skullcrusher site sound ok to you guys? Or should I play it safe and just go with the fatality headset?

Hellllppp meeeeeezzzzz

I purchased a Fatality gaming mouse many moons (couple of years?) ago. The buttons went out on it in less than 3 weeks, huge disappointment.

More bang for your buck my arse. Spend a little more and get something that will last longer and has better quality. I myself (once I finish destroying my current logitech headset) will be purchasing the TI's at some point in the near future. They ooze ub3r.

I actually had a bit of a problem with the Ti headset. I'm not sure if it was the headset itself, or just my computer, but I couldn't talk at all on vent if the server was using Speex as the codec. Although, aside from that it's awesome, sound quality is great. I got an AudioFX headset (link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826504004) which is USB (skullcandy is not) and works great. I'd still recommend Skullcandy for any headphones, but the headset I'd be a little wary about. Ti's have damn good sound quality, and I'll probably be getting a new pair soon, especially now that they changed the design.

Well for all you super freak gamers, go with what you feel like. For me, the practical guy, I bought a Logitech USB headset and Circuit City and I love it. Great sound, great mic. Not to mention it's half the price, if not a quarter.

I went ahead and got the skullcandy Ti, I'm gonna give it a shot. I'm hoping the problems that Chi was having had to do with his sound card, which he said had some problems with it. Now I just have to wait a couple weeks for it to get here lol.

I'll give a status update on how it works when I get it.
