Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment is currently hiring in Illustration, Animation, and 3D-Modeling.
Dunno what your odds are but you might get lucky. Here be the link. http://www.cheyenneme.com/employment/art/

Game isn't out yet and they are looking so if you don't mind a likely move, they might be worthwhile. I'm currently considering trying for a paid internship in their Information Technology field.

Other than that, I'd say try what you can with any other company and you might get lucky.

Yeah, any kind of art position is hard to get into without experience, but a solid portfolio will be a massive help.

Apply for jobs you don't fulfill all the requirements for and state in your covering letter that you're hunting for a junior position. Once enough companies have your CV and portfolio, you may end up with a phone call. Lots of places keep unsuccessful applicants in mind when new positions crop up.

I'm currently going through the same thing with programming jobs, just remember, if you see a junior position crop up, jump all over it.

Another great method is to join an indie project (read non-paying), generate an impressive amount of material for your portfolio throughout, then use that experience to further strengthen your application and resume.

Actually if you are interested, check our project here as we are looking for indie artists now.

Thank you all for the advice.

...And Sigoya that project looks great, I will definetly be forwarding my portfolio and stuff there, well as soon as I get it together.
