Cheese has just informed me that Requiem: Bloodymare has went into OB just last week! It's that "horror" MMO with lots of blood and gore. Like he says, it's a bloody version of L2. If you look around on the website it is a lot like those small L2 clones that popped up before (like Rapplez). It looks great, and the client is only 2.5 gigz. I'm dling right now!

It's not really much of a "Horror MMORPG", plays just like L2 just with quests, and blood and gore. I played it for a while during the fileplanet beta and enjoyed it.

Yeah it feels a lot like L2 but you have your crappy WASD movement and there is a lot more questing than grinding. I'd suggest that you pick the second server, Lintra I think it is called, and pick Crescent as your starting zone. You do NOT want to see 40+ people in your starting zone... it is unplayable.

You can still move the same way you do in L2, or at least you could. I'll be playing a bit here and there, Groa on the Lintra server, I'll be either a Defender or Templer, haven't decided yet.

They opened up a third server last night, but I've never had any real lag problems on Lintra, and I'm lvl 20, so I'm staying. Defenders are so awesome, I never die.

The new server they opened is PvP-enabled, Hammerine I think it's called. Valdes and Lintra are not open PvP.

Bah! Don't download from FP. I never dl anything from there. Not only are the speeds slow but I can NEVER get a good dl from there.

I made a new toon on Hammerine today. I don't know what it is, but this whole server just seems a lot better with the kind of people on and stability (and less people too, which is a good thing = less choppiness in crowded areas). You cannot pvp in the starting zones, though, so I have yet to give that a test. You should come over, Chi. It's not like lvl 20 is an accomplishment =/

i started re downloading it strait from there site this time, started last night at around 10 pm, its now 10:45 pm the next day and dl is at 64% lol , heres hopeing its not damaged aswell.

So no PKing on Crescent or Turba? I think I'll come on over then, what class(es) are you playing? I think I'll stick with Defender, I enjoy taking 0 damage from mobs 3 levels over me.

Chi, I was trying a Shaman but then decided to stick with my Rogue. Maybe by the end of beta I'll go back to the Shaman, I'm not sure.
What I really like about this game is how two players of the same class can be very different depending on how they choose their skills. You really gotta plan ahead with them.
Add me to friends, my name is Eonita on the rogue and Eeonita on the shaman. I'm only got to lvl 14 yesterday night on my rogue, so you can easily catch up to me and then we can party up. Much like in L2, grinding is so much more faster, easier and funner when you are partying.

I got a Turan to level 9 quickly, not positive if I want to go Defender again or Templar, name's Groa again. I'm leaning towards Defender because I don't want to get stuck with the responsibility of healing like usual, and I've never liked kiting mobs around.

Edit: Defender it is.

Commanders are (supposedly) very strong. They get to do more or less decent damage with their 2handers, but they still have all the defensive capabilities from being a defender. Or so I hear.

mine finaly downloaded, undamaged, only took about .....18 hrs =[] anyways, lvl 9 turan on hammerine, games not to bad, i like how it has more of dramatic impact effect in melle then in other mmo's, makes the grinding more fun.

Just tried downloading from filefront, when It finished it was "Corrupted" or something, and can't do gamershell, to slow, and I can't leave this computer on over night.

there be none that say that, or im just blind. im downloading from filefront and it was uploaded may 13th. if you got a link ill gladly take it.

Hm, strange. They still have the announcement on the forum to get the DL that is labeled "updated may 15th" from the download section, but the dl list has been cut short, only three mirrors there now, so I am guessing all those are updated. It should be version 1.1, and not 1.0 when you dl it.

Either way, there is a way to workaround the error. You just need to dl the 000031.trp or whatever patch file, set it to read only during the patching, and then it should work.. or whatever. I'll give you a link to the guide if your dl doesn't work.

thanks, but I just updated the client from FP and it worked. Will start playing as soon as i get home from work in the morning
