yeah just wait till you get either the Enclave tesla power armor or the prototype tl51 power armor in fort constantine. huge defense and the enclave armor makes you look like teh Predator :D

Well, I don't have a PS3 or a PC strong enough to play Fallout 3, so I currently don't own it.

the power armor for +2 str is worth it if you did like me and only put 2 points in str

In FallOut 1 I had 6 STR then got the surgery to get plus 1 so I had seven, then I got addicted to the steroids so I always had 10 STR from then on out.

also a tip: never max any special or skill, because there are bobbleheads that you can find to permanently increase those stats.

I just started playing the game. I have to say that it has that Oblivion 'residue' but it is still very enjoyable. I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing, but I'm having fun.

Picked it up off of Steam two days ago. So far my adventures consist of disarming a giant bomb, getting into a firefight in a grocery store and beating a sleeping man to death with a baseball bat just to see if I could get away with it.

I did get away with it, in case you were wondering...

stooooppppp! fallout 3 is in #D ans is first person. if you can honnestly say "i want isrometric blocky sprites and buggy quests that dont work" then fine. but dont insult what is a true advancement the the series.

that said it was nowhere near as big as i was led to believe, and the level 20 cap ticks me off. damn you X-Box!

considering ive played every fallout game til it was beaten like a dead horse, this game does lack. dont get me wrong, i love the game non the less, but as for it being a true advancement, i say it is not. Bethesda dumbed the game down way too much, changed what certain stats did for skills, and overall, failed where the "black comedy" came in to play. It was great all the same, but they could have "held true" to the originals.

If mods can make Oblivion enjoyable, I imagine mods will make Fallout 3 unbelievable.

I love dark humor and although I didn't play the other Fallouts, knowning that it existed in them and not Fallout 3 is a bit of a disappointment.

That's what I was afraid of. Everyone I know who loved Fallout like a drug was sad in Fallout3, but all those who never touched Fallout before loved it. I'm just waiting for the Fallout MMO and the new Wasteland game which is made by the orignal creators of Fallout aswell, and to be the true continuation.

I can't imagine the rabid fanbase that will come nipping at the heels of developers in the event of a Fallout MMO.

Fallout MMO is being made by the orignal creators. If they don't get it out by April 2011 it's in Bethsuda's hands to make then.
