Twilight is the current object of my pop culture hatred. Mary/gary stu characters, a writer that has apparently never heard of a thesaurus, also breaks canon and has a creepy pedophile vibe to some parts.

This is aggravated by a rabid fanbase whos whole defense of the books are "your just jealous because Edwards perfect and hot" Much less people who think it is comparable to classic Lit. Such as brave new world, 1984, or Atlas Shrugged. Heck even the Harry Poter series is wonderful compared to twilight.

Not to mention vampires that sparkle, I can understand vamps being able to go in the sun(the original vamps where able to) but goodness sparkling is a bit much.
