Posts: 1 Joined: 31 Dec 2007 | Agreed the graphics are way outdated. But what other game coming out has all the core features of Darkfall? Darkfall is the only game I know of emphasizing the free-to-do-what-you-want type of gameplay. That's what appeals to me. |

They only understand one thing "Darkfall is my God" there can be no other Gods other than Darkfall. Seriously , pull your brain out of the trash bin for half a second and start using it for more than worshipping a 7 year old project who's only claim to fame are a few terrible looking Alpha videos and some outdated screenshots. |

BUT you have to understand that most people are not just watching darkfall, ive been watching this W.A.R and AoC closely and im probably going to play one of the other 2 until i see that darkfall is really coming out. so stfu and go away |

As I've said before, people who go to lengths to trash a game - that already has few people supporting it these days (Judging by forum traffic.) - are either emotionally disadvantaged or are hired by other companies to subdue a "threat," and I think we all know what the more likely option is. |

And I don't care if they are paying a dev team to develop this game and testers to test it, I can pay people to create and test anything, does it mean it's any good. NO. Well, I have all the right in the world to insult you. Maybe your first insults were not directed at me, but they were very insulting and I know how you think. You love this game, and there is nothing wrong with that. However when somebody makes a comment about it you don't like you don't have to get so upset about it. Just state your facts on why you think they are wrong,IF they are wrong. I was really thinking of getting this game if and when it came out, but I'm not sure if I want to play with a bunch of people like "yamisniper" and "jaggid" I would not mind playing with someone like "MorkdaOrc" because he did not get all insulted and angry about what I said. Even though what I said was basically just a test to see how you would react. Congratulations you acted just the way I thought you would. And please don't call me a retard. And making a game for 4-7 years is not just making sure they have a good game its going extremely slow, probably because they don't have anything good yet. This game is not even listed on large game retailers. So thats what tells me that it could take who knows how long to complete. I don't know why you can't get it through your thick head that I'm not mad at the company or devs or calling them liars. I'm mad at people like you. However the devs should have more stuff for the public since the game has been in production for so long. I'm not asking them to rush the game either, I just want more solid info on how its going. I will admit, although I thought you might have understood me in my last post, that me saying the game was dead was a lie, because it is not. I know that, I wanted to see how you would react. And by the way they do have a clan BETA going on, another reason I know the game is making some progress. |

Posts: 8 Joined: 12 Jan 2008 | I just found about Darkfall today. There are a number of developers out there aiming at a completely free environment, and this idea appeals to me. The idea that Age of Conan will be sharing it's servers with xb360 and PC players tells me a few things. That the game won't be all that it can be, and that there will be alot of children, which frankly - most AoC fans had hoped wouldn't be the case. So even with the great graphics of AoC I'll be passing cause I hate kids and I'm not a babysitter. Warhammer just looks like trash and the world isn't free-roaming like WoW is. I'm not pleased with WoW either, i quit nearly 10 months ago. Greece isn't Silicon Valley, and if the developers want investors, I suggest at least a trip to Germany. The servers will need to be centrally located, if a mostly European playerbase is your goal. I don't mind playing a game with last gen graphix if it delivers the features I want. I hope this anti-Darkfall posting bears no truth, because it's clear alot of ppl like it. |

And to be honest I would really like to have gotten this game to, but I don't like the followers of it, so to me playing with jerks is worse than kids. Alls I have been saying is this game needs some more solid info about it, if it wants people who like it to stick with it before AOC and WAR come out, because both of those games do seem very good. |

Posts: 9 Joined: 11 Jan 2008 | I just have to say one thing about what "A1R5N1P3R" said, about AOC sharing severs with the 360. It will still be able to reach its full potential, because MMOs have not yet passed what a 360 can do. Maybe if we were talking about an FPS or RTS, but MMOs still have a ways to go. I agree with you on the little kid thing though. Hopefully this site has gotten into the clan beta, so they can give us some info on Darkfall. |

I will agree with you that it is just a game, however some people especially big time WOW fans, do not want to here anything said against their game. I have heard a WOW fan say that its graphics are better than that of many games that are coming out now. Some people will say anything to make them selves think their favorite game is the best in the world. P.S. I actually do laugh at that statement because I have never actually heard that term before, "troll". Why am I disliked by the "gaming" community? By that you mean some of the people that like this game right? I hope you don't mean the whole gaming community, because I am anything but hated. A disgrace to the Marines eh? Hmm, again knowing nothing about me. I am not insulting the game for the last time. Here is the problem with this game...
This game is outdated plain and simple. It has nothing going for it anymore apart from it trying to include everything in 1 single game. They have not even proven that they even have that yet so no one believes them. And even if they did not have everything (which would be ok) they still have not proven that even "1" of their features works as intended.
There are games coming out next year that have all of their features that are core to Darkfall in them and they have proven their concepts actually work. What has Aventurine done? nothing but talk, whilst their "proof" is nothing more then very outdated videos and screen shots.
Their graphics will be a huge factor in how well they do like it or not. Especially if Warhammer and Age of Conan do well , which of course they will. Does anyone honestly think people are going to give a damn that Darkfall dumbed down its graphics engine so that it could have better combat???? When those other 2 games have 100 x better graphics and are proven to work with the same sort of combat system?
All they really need to do to is show they have a combat system that works with servers that can support the constant massive battles that will (supposadely) happen in this game. And they have NEVER done that. With all the failed mmo's and now this game stinking of another dark and light you would think these guys have enough common sense to prove they are not talking shit but again for some reason - they never do.
No one is making any of this stuff up, all of the problems these guys have with non fanboys being a lot more pessimistic is SELF INFLICTED, and it would be very easy for them to sort this problem out but as I and many others have said THEY NEVER DO. So obviously no one (with commen sense that is) has any faith in them.
