I'm looking to begin a new Sci-Fi online multiplayer game. I've been playing online games since Ultima Online and have played nearly all of them. But I'm tired of fantasy.

I want to start two accounts immediately...one for me...one for my kid...full accounts.

What would be two good character types/classes/races (whatever) that I can begin that would most complement each other...we'll probably play/group together most of the time...almost never with other people...we'll both either play solo (a lot of the time) or just the two of us. I need a good pair of characters that can fight well together.

Is AO still alive and well? I noticed the regular Funcom forums were shut down...that concerned me greatly!!! Should I play another game instead?

Also, if I get the game, is there a single package I can buy that gives me access to ALL the content??? We normally play a game for two or three years and will eventually get up a ways in terms of level so I expect to need some additional content not too long after starting.

I noticed one offer that sounded interesting. It was the Shadowlands game offer for only $5 per month. If I could get this version, I would gladly pay the $5 per month. And if this was the case, I'd probably go ahead and purchase 3 copies. That way I could play along with my wife and kid...all together at the same time. That sounds nice.

All except...I can't find the game for sale anywhere. Anyone know where I can purchase the game online so I can take advantage of the $5 a month special???

OK guys, how can I buy the game AO / Shadowlands online and download it to me computer? I would like to download it to three computers.

I've been looking for a long time now, I can't find any downloads for Shadowlands at all...and I'm getting a little frustrated.

Anyone have any ideas?

Well to answer your question, you need to simply download the client off Anarchy Online's main site. There are plenty of links to the new tiered system, where you can buy your access there.
