Hi. Got some questions. Can't ask em on the official forum as I have no active CoX account.

Been off CoX for 3 issues at least. Did they change anything major? I left to go to WoW. Quit when my primary teammate went back to work on his doctorate and had no time to play.

Did they put a good mailbox like WoW in CoX yet?

Did they remove the level cap that prevented you from doing arcs and meant you had to watch your level ups like a hawk or be prevented from doing certain storylines?

Did they make it so missions have set levels, and if you cap up over em you can go back and do em easy, rather than being prevented from doing them at all?

See, those are the things that sucked. If they fixed that stuff, I've got cash to go back to an MMORPG.

There's an inventions / crafting system in place, there's more loot (mainly drops to turn into inventions), a flashback system, a number of in-game changes that have buffed characters and some revamped zones. At least. Check out http://www.paragonwiki.com for the full details.

No.

After lvl 25 you can gain access to Ouroboros (a zone accessable only through a temp power) that will let you flashback and do the missions you missed provided they are story arcs.

Did they make it so missions have set levels, and if you cap up over em you can go back and do em easy, rather than being prevented from doing them at all?

Once you start a story arc, you're in it until you complete it, even if you outlvl it. Otherwise, see the Ouroboros comment.

2007 arguably saw the best 3 issues of content going into CoH/V aimed at existing players. None of it was incredibly innovative, but the new inventions systems, invention origin enhancements (and the IO sets), flashback missions and new zones / Task Forces added a lot to the game. Oh, XP drop rates have been increased and the lvl curve smoothed out recently.

There are some free trials floating around if you wanted to try that, but it is, imo, certainly worth resubbing for a month to check things out.
