Web Developer Posts: 841 Joined: 6 Jun 2007 | I'm a craftaholic, but trying to move large amounts of light, medium and heavy armor on the auction house is a very hit-or-miss endeavour, and there's just not enough storage space to carry stock. So, I figure I'd start taking orders for the fine people here. I'll also make craft tools if I have the recipe (regular steel recipes are rarer than shards it seems), just ask and I'll let you know if I have it.
I'm on Brandywine and my sig should have the current proficiency levels displayed.
My stocks of metals are significantly higher than hides (I can usually purchase those in small quantities from someone else, at lower-than-insane-AH prices), so heavy armor will be easier to supply than light or medium. If you have the hides (boiled or unboiled) and need light/medium, well, that'll work, too.
The costs? At present I'll just go with costs of sending via the mail system, plus costs of having to purchase any vendor materials (like cloth bolts, wood shafts for tools, etc). Yep, that's right, not even charging for the metal/ore (or hides, until I run out) 'cost'. If demand starts outstripping my ability to supply, I'll revisit the pricing since I'll need to source more materials.
What about critical success items, you ask? If you order a normal item and I get a crit, lucky day for all - no change in price. If you specifically want a crit version and I have the materials, I'll only add the 1-2 times the vendor value of the item to the cost - if I crit on the first (usually runs about 60% chance), then I only add the cost of one trophy. If it takes two tries, then 2x trophy (but not, 2x item; I'll just try to sell the regular item elsewhere if I can). If the RNG hates me that day and it takes more than 2 items, I'll eat the costs after that 2nd one.
Finally, if I get my hands on single-use recipes and materials to make them (usually limited by shard availability), I'll post here to see if anyone is interested.

Web Developer Posts: 841 Joined: 6 Jun 2007 | sadly, cannot send across servers. |
Apprentice Posts: 8 Joined: 23 Oct 2008 | I think I might try another server. Is Brandywine high pop. ? Longtime or mix of levels? Thanx for any info Paul. Regards, and may your crafting have critical sucess. |
Web Developer Posts: 841 Joined: 6 Jun 2007 | Seems relatively high population, though I haven't played on any other servers to make an informed comparison. There's definitely a few heavy traffic areas (complete with 'blue volcano' warning of reduced draw distance) during primetime hours - Bree, North Downs near Esteldin, Rivendell, etc. |
