I'm going to start playing Lord of the Rings online again, but I don't know which server to join. I started during the free Beta and I was on the least populated server then, I played 'till I couldn't afford it anymore. Due to the fact that everyone who did know me probabally doesn't remember me or quit. So which server would you reccomend? I'm looking for mid to high populated.

I report badge farmers so that way they can't get their precious Matrix badges, among others. Abide by our rules, and do not spam up areas just because you think they're dead. I read dead areas frequently to report badge farming, as it's strongly frowned upon, and necroing is against the rules.

Not sure if there's an official server population status somewhere, so all I have is based off of rumors on their forums:

Brandywine is rumored to be the highest pop server, and some call it overcrowded.
Landroval may be just as big or bigger, as it's suppsedly the RP server, so has all the RP fellowships.
Elendilmir is also mentioned as high pop, but supposedy geared toward Oceanic-based players.

Windfola and Vilya are said to be the low population servers.

Leaving anything not named above as mid population.

I see, I was on Vilya and wasn't sure if I should return to it. I think I know which one I'll choose now.

Turbine doesn't publish population numbers, so all you can go by is hearsay and your own experiences.

I think Paul has it right, tho, personally.

Only thing I know for sure is that for their big 'come back to us' weekend (I don't recall the exact name, but previous subscribers with lapsed/cancelled accounts could play for the weekend) a few weeks ago, Brandywine had login queues. Under 5 mins wait time, but still a queue.

Yeah, I re-joined then too, but the server I was on was dead empty then, atleast where I was at.

I've been on Windfola for over a month.. It was hard to get in a fellowship because my kinship wasn't active together. People tend to fellowship together throughout. I had people tell me they don't do epic quests with others outside their Kinship.
I was lost but now am found. I was invited to "Circle of the Dawn". A kinship level 35 or under (going up as leader goes up). The upper crust help the lower ones w/armor jewelry and fellowship quests making leveling fast and fun. Not crazy on rules and guidelines but demanding civility. As a 40 plus gamer with limited time it is and has been a lot more enjoyable. We fellowship with all the people of M.E. too, not just our Kinship.
I have had flamers and cranks demean the low pop but maybe they should get involved in more then their own sucess. You might find more people willing to help..lol
Tararathon level 31 Champion .. Visit us if you enjoy life as much as you enjoy gaming
