Alias/Forum Name: Marauder

Title / Position at Fallen Earth: Concept Artist

What games have you played and worked on?

I'm new to the video game industry and Fallen Earth is my first title. You have to start somewhere right?

How long have you been working on Fallen Earth?

I've been working on Fallen Earth for a year and some change.

How did you get involved with your job position?

Well, I actually started here as a World Builder Intern. Our art director asked if anyone would be willing to do some storyboards and I jumped at the first opportunity. Soon after I was hired as a full-time concept artist.

What type of college courses or schooling did you have to prepare you for your position at Fallen Earth?

I actually went to an art school for 3d Animation where they glossed over everything dealing with the production pipeline. It has helped me immensely in every job I've done here.

What in particular inspired you to work in the gaming industry?

I've always enjoyed video games and what could be cooler than saying " Oh yeah.. I worked on that game." I think the creation process never gets old and there is always something new everyday.

What games stand out in your memory for positive reasons?

I think Halo 2. Wow.. what a game. I bought that game before I even OWNED an Xbox.

On an average day, what do you do at Fallen Earth?

I sit here painting and drawing all day. I Couldn't ask for anything else.

What is your favorite:

    Game: Halo 2
    Book: Tuesday's with Morrie
Song: At the moment it's "The Bringer" by Soilwork It changes every month.
    Season: Summer
Past time: Disc Golf, Sketching, Playing guitar
    Drink: Coke
Color: red ( Maybe that's why I love Coca Cola. )
    Food: Lemon Pepper Chicken.. mmmmmmm...
PnP: ??? does it mean Place in Proximity? My desk.
    Faction: Techs

Do you:

roleplay? Nope.. Only for Halloween. I like to get into character
have any pets?: Indeed. A 1yr old Boston Terrorist... I mean Terrier.
like beer or wine?: Beer for sure. Stella Artois
    like coffee or tea?: Coffee
like cake or pie?: Mayonnaise Cake. Yeah.. I know.. You have to try it
Coke or Pepsi?: Already answered that one.. lol Coke all the way.
Pizza or Hamburgers?: Oooo..that's a tough one.. Pizza.
Chocolate or Ice Cream?: One step farther.. Vanilla Ice Cream WITH my mayonnaise cake.
    Boxers or Briefs? Boxers

Have you ever styled/had a mullet?

Oh man did I ever. McGyver was my hero growing up.

If you could have one wish what would it be?

To have a million wishes.. DUH!

Name one thing you would take to an abandoned island and why?

A survivor kit.

Does the Landshark really exist? Other kids at school tell me it's a lie.

Not a stinking clue...and I even work here. There are urban legends going around the office about the possible existence of a such creature. By the sounds of it .. I thought it would be cool to have one as a pet.

Are you willing to be bribed for an alpha spot and what would it take?

You would have to kill me.. Where me as a body suit and steal my identity. I don't think it is worth the risk to be honest with you.

If you still want to poke at Marauder, head over to the official forums and post your inquiries there. FE developers are pretty nimble and open to fan questions!

Hey Sig, have you had a crack at this per chance? Or know anything about it? From the footage I've seen, it's turning out to be very Tabula Rasa-esque. What do you think?

Frakking hippies.

I think Fallen Earth will be very different from TR, mainly because of its almost-retro style of crafting and FPS-heavy combat.

TR was more of a lock and shoot rather than a true FPS aim-and-shoot.

Very promising, as long as they manage to iron out the server/client kinks, especially during heavy PvP sessions.

It turns out I work with a girl that went to school with a few of the guys working on Fallen Earth.

I'm afraid it will be very TR-esque as well, but only time will tell. Or Beta Leaks. I'll take either.
