Is the goofy left-middle-right attack system still in there? If so, no thanks.

Yeah it's still there but, know what? I kind of like it. I didn't think I would but I actually -do- because it sets it apart from other MMOs and makes me THINK. :)

I haven't played the game in a year since it launched and I was disgusted at how unfinished the game was. Logged in today when I got the email for the 14 day trial. The server I was on (Set) was dead and nobody was there to group with. I'll try again tomorrow with my lower level toon to see if anyone is there to party with.

I must say that after having played the Aion beta this weekend, AoC looked rather gloomy and drab compared to Aion and it's amazing graphics.

Eck... I haven't played since release either mostly due to the lack of leveling content (which was promised for late summer 2008 yet only got released in what, January or something?). Now looking at the changes, I noticed the itemization part. And all I can say is... WHY? The fact that I didn't have to care about items to be able to do stuff was great a year ago. The biggest reason I'm sick and tired of WoW is that I seriously can't be assed to grind a raid instance for months to get new silly items and then start all over again, and all of it just to be able to keep up. And now it would seem AoC is going to be more of the same in that regard.

Oh well. I hope the other supposed improvements will at least be of some consolation now that I was silly enough to reactivate (and get the lowered price on the first month deal).
