Fan Seeks Gold Farming Ban In World of Warcraft

According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Antonio Hernandez has launched a federal court complaint to ban gold farming from World of Warcraft. Specifically, the complaint mentions notable gold reseller IGE.

t will be waged in the Fort Lauderdale federal courthouse. The former assistant manager at an Orlando-area video game store is suing a company he says sells "virtual gold" from the World of Warcraft for real money. He wants IGE U.S. banned from selling gold - a practice commonly called "gold farming" or "real money trading"- because it hurts the game's economy and ruins the entertainment experience, according to the lawsuit. Virtual gold, earned within the game, can be used for such things as buying and repairing equipment or learning new skills.

so hes basicly throwing rocks at tanks, owell he has good intent i guess. The day after WOWs last major gold seller lawsuit was won, there were new names spamming the chat in towns for new sites, its the nature of the beast, where theres money to be made, farmers will be there.

Its amazing how selling online gold provides an income for so many in real life tho

But EEK if they actually have to spend 12 hours a day themselfs farming on WoW lol i cant even bare to do that for more than 30 mins

learn2use bots damn chinese

they do use bots, what do u think does all the spamming, besides, this isent like lineage 2, line of site is a big part of WoW combat, so that is harder to macro, not to mention the high lvl of admin activity in this game, they just recently banned accounts using 1 of the only automated add-ons, but even that program dident fully automate the game (true bottiing), besides, the easiest money earned in the game is earned threw a combination of the gathering skils+ auction house, flying to each resource, and then buying/runnin to mailbox, reselling would be just as difficult to automate. I personaly spend all my time in the game earning money for my myself, and if i was in the position to get payed for it, i could easily do it 12-14 hours a day, hell i play that much sometimes just for fun.
I still have a problem with 3rd party companies selling currency and items/account's, but i understand the reality that it will always exist.
