WoW Insider is reporting that Wrath of the Lich King has entered the alpha stage of testing.
WoW Insider has confirmed through anonymous sources that the next expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, is in closed alpha status, and that various players are being invited to check it out, under a strict NDA.
While no official word has come out, this should come as good news to those waiting for the expansion to come out.
The development cycle follows a set-in-stone pattern that goes from development to alpha testing to beta testing then finally to 'gold' status which is the final released version of the game. That WotLK is in alpha is decidedly good news.
