There is barely 6 months left in this year. Why did no one ask which features are actually in the game at this point? Doesn't anyone think that would have been a good question? My guess is most of the promised features are NOT there and they are launching it "as is". |

When DF launches after AoC, AoC is gonna be like the Sega Dreamcast when the Playstation 2 was launched shortly after the Dreamcast was. Almost everyone completely dropped the Sega Dreamcast and started playing a PS 2. Not a whole lot of people even remember the Sega Dreamcast, when almost everyone has heard of PS. |

It's called Internal Testing. Personally I'm glad to see that they expect beta to only be couple of weeks, it's not enough to get far into the game, but a lot of people are disappointed to see all their hard work diuring beta to go to waste. Although on the flip side, they might not be able to get to play ALL of the massive world of Agon... |

Better this than a hard date they might have to miss if something unexpected happens imo and rofl teedle, go on to the bitter end ay! i wonder what the other 2 stooges will say :P |

ya ok. Based on what? Your blind faith? If this game is so far along that it could actually launch in 2008 then where the hell is all the media and information?? They couldn't even give a few screenshots in this dev journal!! All we have to look at from this game are a few shoddy looking alpha videos at best. And you actually believe this guy when he says it's coming out in 2008? God you people are so gullibly retarded. They have never even shown 1 core element or feature of this game anywhere EVER. Think about THAT one for a second. Never have they shown crafting , never have they shown a siege taking place , never have they shown city building , never have they shown questing , they have never even shown something as simple as fighting a monster for christs sake. And you think this is going to be out FEATURE COMPLETE in 2008?
Please link to proof that Darkfall has a closed beta running right now. A closed beta with people in it besides the Devs and their friends. As far I can remember they announced a beta years ago and people are still waiting for it.... What makes this vague announcement any different?? More string-along tactics. |

There is no hard proof DarkFall will be out in 2008, only a promise from the same guys that said it would be out years ago. Additionally, there is no hard proof that it will not be out in 2008. Most betas that I've been in never lasted longer than a month. I really wasn't expecting an '08 release date though. I'm hoping that they aren't trying to race it out in order to get the Christmas sales, heh. However, I cannot wait to see the advertisements for Darkfall! This journal was great news for me. Though I would like to see some updated screenshots. If the devs are too busy they can let me on their servers for 3 mins or so and I'll do it! |

This is not Razorwax, this is aventurine, and they sure ain't responsible for fans misinterpreting stuff. Anyway, this will probably have been my last post about this game to the not-forumfall community prior to the public beta testing to open up, I can bear those few months without your whining I think, and the simple truth that you've all been nothing but assholes for years will reveal itself to you around that time too I'd imagine. Don't bother responding to this, because I sure as hell won't be here to read your reply. |

Translation -- I've only been in most games Beta's for a month when it was really just a month before the game was released and was just a preview hype for release and not a real Beta. Warhammer has been in public Beta for months already and is still many months away from release. That's how you do a proper Beta. Age of Conan was in Beta for months with a 100+ man dev team working on it and is still quite buggy. There is absolutely NO-WAY that a MMORPG that *supposedly* has the feature set that Darkfall has can only have a Beta for a few weeks. It's simply not practical and nearly impossible. Of course I don't think Darkfall has the majority of those promised features and I don't think it will be in Beta or have a release this year so I guess that point is moot. |

Obviously your guy doesnt know much about Major concerns because he only adresses AI bot testing, and PR, nothing essential in there 1. they are not a publishing company and those mostly handle the promoting. This Dev Journal is not the official news upon the game yet and therefor there is no need for an official promotion yet. And even when they promote it, it will never have as big of a campaign as its competitors unless it does get published by a major company with big bucks. 2. Actually every other MMO tests the bots partially on their own, bots in Darkfall will be checked upon an official beta too, the degree of testing might differ a bit and in darkfall the focuss might be more on internal beta than with others but in the end the difference will really not be something huge. 3. Bring a game out is the best proof of credibillity , not posting vids screenshots or other stuff to keep fans happy. I'd be happier playing the game in 2008 than in 2010 because they spend too much time on keeping us informed Really teedle, try harder , too damn easy to rip these bullshit remarks apart. |
