WoW: Wrath of the Lich King Coming...Later

Vivendi released financial documents for the first half of 2008. The documents indicated that Wrath of the Lich King would be released in the second half of 2008 rather than in the first half. As a result, profits are down though subscribers are up almost 3/4 of a million.

Vivendi Games continues to make strong headway with Blizzard Entertainment, inc and World of Warcraft ®, adding 2 million incremental subscribers compared to end of March 2007; After reaching the 10-million-subscriber milestone at the end of 2007, World of Warcraft's subscriber base grew to more than 10.7 million by the end of the first quarter of 2008.

A comparison of the first quarters of 2007 and 2008 performances is not representative because the first quarter of 2007 included the hugely successful release of World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade. Blizzard Entertainment's second expansion, World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, is scheduled to be released in the second half of 2008. Consequently, Vivendi Games' revenues for the first quarter of 2008 are 24.1% lower (-18.2% on a constant currency basis) when compared to the same period last year. Vivendi Games' revenues was €221 million.

It still puzzles me how their numbers go up today, whenever i log in theres only a few people left that say they are waiting for aoc to come out and if i do spend some time on levelling a char when im really bored i never come across any other players anymore

Maybe its a the server population went down more than others , but i really dont see any growth in numbers from playing

I'am sure yourself playing on one server is enough of an evaluation to come up with that conclusion.

You should get used to it though. Because that "alone" feeling is what you're going to have to deal with while you're playing Darkfall , if it actually launches this year which we all know it won't. ;)

Darkfall bashing aside. I just made a new character last night, and I saw plenty of other folks in the noob zone. There was a whole group running around together that were all new players asking for advice. So I think it was probably just your a) Server, b) zone, or c) the time you were logged in.

PS: You will see flying cars before you see Darkfall launch.

Keep your seething hatred in the Darkfall thread, please. Don't infect other threads with your shenanigans.
