Just fyi, book 14 came out last week, but a lot of this article talks about it in the future tense.

I believe Jordan spoke with Jeffery Steefel right before Book 14's launch, actually, which might help explain that discrepancy.

This is not true... what about the lore master and the minstrel?

You could argue that neither of those use magic. The loremaster simply uses the strength of the earth, and the minstrel simply boosts moral by singing.
