Howdy Mr. Funk (lol), I asked in the ongoing thread for this contest, and sent you a PM, and I hate to be so persistantly annoying, but it's honestly a large concern of mine... Will multiple entries per IP Address be disqualified? After I entered, I decided it would be a good idea to have each member of my family enter as well, since the rules only said one entry per person, not one per household, but I'm concerned that if IP Addressess are used to disqualify multiple entries from one person, they could also end up disqualifying us, which we really REALLY wouldn't want to happen. Any insight you could offer on this matter would be greatly appreciated. (And again, I don't mean to pester you, but I'm worried about our entries is all.) Thanks, | |

That guess seems too high too me. The thread people were trading letters in only had about 500 posts... many of which were from the same users... you gotta figure there weren't a whole ton of people who -knew- all the answers without trading (I know I didn't), but I'm sure there were some... I'd say somewhere between 500 and 1000, at the most. BUT, who knows? Ya'know... | |
We have multiple WoW accounts in the same home, and four entries between us, and should we all win (fat chance) we can provide legal information to verify we're four different people. That's one entry per person. As far as I can see, no rules were broken. Why wouldn't we all enter? Are you telling me you wouldn't want to play in Beta with the people you know? Well, there are times when it's obvious - multiple accounts with the same IP of (Name)1, (Name)2, (Name)3, (Name)14, etc. It isn't automated. We'll be going through the entries by hand, and if there's a matchup with a multiple, we'll be using our best judgement. So don't worry :) | |
don't get all flustered, the way you worded it made it seem like you made your little sister / brother and dog sign up with their emails or something, people who presumably didn't play wow and you were just going to take the key when they won... :[ and I wasn't being a jerk.. | |
I agree with Zack. What about people who dont have 8 members in family? Is it their fault their parents have died or so? Ill would put it one enter / ip. | |
I'd kinda feel abit cheapened if two people from the same home won beta keys, ya know? Just share the one key if you do win, in my opinion. Anyways, good luck everyone. | |

Well for me, my brother is living in the same house as me for a little while, he's moving in just a few days. It would really suck if our entries were disqualified just because he hasn't moved yet. | |

A) I was flustered. It's an awesome prize, and I don't want to be disqualified just because I encouraged my family to enter too. B) If you didn't mean too be jerky, I apologize, but accusing me of being a cheater when as far as I can tell I've done nothing against the rules, seemed a jerky thing too do at the time... flustered as I was. C) Harjuu... you're missing the point. My family has multiple WoW accounts... what possible reason would we have NOT to all enter. However, if a person thought it wasn't fair that they didn't get entries for their dead parents (huh?) that doesn't quite... apply... since they clearly just want the prize for themselves, because their dead parents clearly aren't playing WoW... In any event, can we just leave it at that. Since the rules seemed to allow it, I just thought getting my family to enter would be a good idea. Not 8 times, not 100 times, 1 time each. 4 total. Then I got worried about it after the fact, so I asked about it. It was not my intent to create a huh-bub. But, Mr. Funk has now alleviated my worries, soooo... no need to argue about it further (at least on my end). | |

There will be here too. No question... And fyi, Account sharing is illegal, even in Beta. Some of us respect that. And even if we didn't, our characters are on different accounts, hence, we would need multiple accounts to play together -in- beta. If you don't have multiple accounts in your household, I'm sorry, but some of us do, and the rules didn't prohibit multiple entries per household. | |

Lol, same. I know a few people with beta keys that won't let me play because they are too addicted =*(, I hope they raise the level cap in beta from 77 soon though and finish those 2 zones. | |
