Darkfall European Release Date Announced

It's official! Darkfall will be released in Europe on January 22, 2009, missing by a scant month the projected end-of-2008 release date. Check out the official word:

Athens, Greece - December 5th, 2008 - Audio Visual Enterprises SA and Aventurine SA in a joint statement today announced that their highly anticipated MMORPG title Darkfall Online will launch across Europe on January 22nd, 2009. North American players are also welcome to participate in the European launch of Darkfall which will precede a North American launch.

Guessing they were aiming for a pre Christmas release,

but i dont know, might be good, by end of jan theres probably a lot of bored wow / aoc / war players ready to try something new ;)

Anyways, im still interested to see whether this is the fun challenging mmo i hope it will be

I doub many wow war or aoc players gonne play darkfall its to hardcore sandbox+free for all pvp full loot.

But finally the game ive waited more then 5 years will be released:)

I think Darkfall is in league with other things some people think were imaginary...so what I am saying is expect your copy of DF to be delivered ahead of schedule by Santa Claus on Christmas Morning. "It's a miracle!!!" you will exclaim as you load up and play the most awesomest mind blowing kick assiest game ever. It's graphics are so revolutionary they will make your eyes bleed. And the game play full on non-instanced ass kickery and open Pvpliciousness sooooo damn bad ass it will make you crap iron chunks for weeks!!! AAAAAH Hell ya!!!!!!!!!!!

Alternate Endings:

1. It will be delayed and delayed and we will still be talking about this crap next year.
2. It will release in January in Europe and be horribly disappointing and never see the light of day in the US.

PS: Bigfoot is delivering my copy tomorrow while riding on the back of a giant jackelope.

Haha! The Euros get to suffer first! This way we'll know for sure what the game is like beforehand, without being temped to buy it the first day of release.

Aw c'mon now, Nightfreak....they've lost the 'vaporware' assertion and most other commonly held myths about DF. You have to give them something to cling onto. :D

I'm having way too much fun with several other games to worry about DF either way until the end of January. :)
