I've not really followed WAR since release, but weren't those 2 classes supposed to be in the game when it launched? Hell, I was in a beta phase when Knights of the Blazing sun were put in. Why exactly are they trying to pass launch content off as an exciting new patch?
WoW model | |
because people are excited to have them back. they weren't refined enough at launch, and we all know releasing an unpolished game can lose the company the whole market eventually. it would have at least made hundreds+ of people leave the subscriber base if they were playing an imbalanced class.
You admit it was intended to be in the game at launch, then call me childish for calling them on it? Sounds a little like fanboy-speak to me.
Except he does have a point that long ago they did acknowledge the fact that they would be cut from launch and be brought back in lateron in a patch. So whine about WAR sticking to plans does seem rather useless imo.
Quite wrong, since the original "plan" was to have them in at launch ;)
Doesnt change the fact that they publicly changed that plan accordingly and now stick to the new version of it. Its not like they kept it to themselfs and now release it as something fresh and new. They are just releasing the patch which they intended to deploy these changes with. Shouldnt be a shocker or a reason to rip on the developers imo And i am not even a fanboi!
But they are touting the major feature of this patch as the 2 new careers. Go read the first post. It's like releasing diablo 3 with 2 classes and launching the others in a content patch, just makes the version they launched seem unfinished.
Agreed, but like many other mmo's they launch with a bare minimum to have fun and keep adding content lateron to keep people happy. Its a form of marketing, which not only applies to WAR sadly.
Hey guys I am releasing a bad ass MMO. Please send me $39.95, and I will send you an empty box. Content will be added later.

Bahahahah | |
Done and done! Just because they told everyone they were cutting four classes and four of the capital cities from launch doesn't mean it was a good thing, and I don't think Mythic should be praised for finally adding these classes back into the game. It shouldn't be too hard to make the classes in WAR, all you have to do is take all the skills from their mirror class, change the names and icons to fit the race and presto! Also, KotBS don't have Juggernaut lol, guess they still didn't get the classes right.
