Star Wars: the Old Republic Trailer Arrives

The first video footage from Star Wars: the Old Republic has arrived on the official site. The docu-video features several well-known names from both LucasArts and Bioware along with gameplay footage. Grab the official word below:

LucasArts and BioWare today announced that the first video documentary for Star Wars: The Old Republic is now available on the game's official website. The video gives an overview of the upcoming story-driven massively multiplayer online PC game set in the timeframe of the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic franchise and provides the public with its first look at in-game footage.

In Star Wars: The Old Republic, players will explore an age thousands of years before the rise of Darth Vader when war between the Old Republic and the Sith Empire divides the galaxy. Players can choose to play as Jedi, Sith, or a variety of other classic Star Wars roles, defining their personal story and determining their path down the light or dark side of the Force. Along the way, players will befriend courageous companions who will fight at their side or possibly betray them, based on the players' actions. Players can also choose to team up with friends to battle enemies and overcome incredible challenges using dynamic Star Wars combat.

Check out the video, which is breathtaking, IMO, right HERE.

Analysis everyone?

The combat was kinda... different. I'd prefer it looked more like the Kotor combat, but maybe that's just nostalgia. They didn't elaborate much on anything that we didn't already know, but I've been following Darkfall, so I'm used to that, the graphics are good, everything is nice and shiny, wonder if they're gonna force you to be a Jedi (get it? force you? God, I'm hilarious), how many different storylines they are going to have, the bald guy looks like a Twi'lek with no head things, game so far looks good.

Overall review: Cupcake.

Why is it that the voice in my head refuses to get me a cupcake?

I really like the surroundings
just the way of char animation, not that much and i guess if they're not aiming for realism that wont change much.

Still all in all, very promising
