It technically was different. This was in a prison and the original was they were driving outside a prison killing random people and they got points for who they hit. This one was killing other prisioners. right?

Oh, Guitar, I missed the first few minutes so didn't know they aknowledge that. Glad they do, although the original is dated, its still pretty hardcore and fun to watch, maybe it will turn some new people onto some great cult classic films.

I just get miffed when some 13yo comes up and tells me how kik ass "The Longest Yard" was, but has no idea of who Burt Reynolds is or that Adam Sandler helped destroy such an awesome movie, lol.

I hope no one ever remakes Deliverence, that would be a tragedy of the first degree.

that went from movie talk to condasending usa talk fast lol. Anyway, not all remakes are bad, look at the new Dawn of the dead,100x better then original (they used real amputies),also new halloween was excellent.

i will wait till Death Race is on $5 dvd rack before i check it out,which id assume will be fast. I know i havent seen it, and i say this equaly as an insult and a compliment, but from the prewviews this movie looks like something Michael Bay could describe using only sound effects created from his mouth..."KROOOOOOOSH!
