It's amazing how many "secure" networks are easily accessible by just sitting outside the building they are housed in...look up the TJMaxx credit card issue that happened about a year ago (time-frame might be a bit off).

I mean, hell, when Obama was elected president you know how many videos, blogs, and such were posted of death threats to Obama? Plus the ammount of terriost threats postedon the internet.

My cousin called Obama a 'baby-killer' in a private email and she got her internet pulled. For permanence. And she lives in rural Alaska.

The gov't is going after everything, just some of the stuff isnt talked about openly. Cyber-crimes are still a very real threat, and they always will be no matter what day and age we be in, though we all dead in 2012 anyway.
The dumbest thing I did was never to try playing soccer or football. It sounds kind of tame, and it is...my childhood was well-insulated from stupidity.
My school's dumb with their monitoring system. There's an icon for it on the taskbar and if you right click and hit "log off" then it logs your computer off the monitor system. They also had us students install it.
I wish our internet filters were user side, fucking websense. Also what I found funny for my school's computer is that if you just slid and obvious part of the case the DVD drive would pop out.

Well they switched to websense about a month later. It was fun while it lasted. Now that's fun. I remember once durin History we got a whole bunch of people to do the Winterrowd stuff. Now that was hilarious.
imagine crashing the schools entire network. God that was funny, someone from my class did it, took the IT Department 3 months to figure out someone killed the power in the school server.
I remember we over-loaded the districts server and all of the school's lost internet because of us. The next year we came back they enforced a lot of new rules.
