We've been getting a lot of will "this" computer/laptop/etc. run Vanguard, in order to clear up some of these questions I figured I'd whip up a quick post explaining wether or not you can.
My system: Pentium Core 2 Duo 1.8ghz GeForce 7950GT 512mb 2 GB of DDR2 800 RAM
I can play Vanguard on full settings and get about 20-25 FPS, Medium Settings with about 30-60 FPS, depending.
If you're tech savvy enough to do a comparison between what you have and that, feel free, else wise; any GeForce 6 or 7 series card SHOULD be good enough. I'd HIGHLY suggest 2 GB of RAM, but, I can play on 1GB, and, if possible: Core 2 Duo's are amazing, but a high end P4 will do.(I work at Intel, AMD's don't exist to me).
If you still don't know, please post your spec here (not in a new thread) and one of us tech geeks will tell you how you'll manage. Thanks! Kros Trikare - Varking (TPVP) - Dark Elf Sorcerer Vanguard WarCry Community Assistant Site Manager |

Current: P4 2.4 ghz, 7600 GT 256mb (pci-e), 2x512 ddr400. Coming: Core 2 Duo E6400 (2.18ghz), 2x512 ddr800.
On 1152x864 balanced I'm getting 25-30 fps in most areas, 15-25 when it gets bad.
What sort of perf improvements should I expect to see with the upgrade? I've also got a 22" monitor enroute, running 1680x1050, should I expect the new config to run reasonably on balanced at that resolution?
It should be said, that at the moment it definitely seem to be a CPU bound problem, not so much the graphics card. |

Um, I'm not sure how big of a change you'll notice, to be honest. I'd say go for the setting right below Balanced, High Perf. Plays alot nicer and its still fairly nice. Kros Trikare - Varking (TPVP) - Dark Elf Sorcerer Vanguard WarCry Community Assistant Site Manager |

Specs: AMD 3000+ 2,0ghz 2 gb DDR 400 ram HiS ATI Radeon 9800PRO 128mb IceQ X-Fi Fatal1ty
I would like to play 1280x1024. I think that medium would do it, what do you guys think? :) |

Any suggestions as to what settings would be best for the best performance?
Thanks in advance. |
