Apprentice Posts: 1 Joined: 30 May 2007 | SOE Vanguard is arguably the best MMORPG out there at the moment and one of the superior qualities it possesses is fantastic artwork. From the serene night images of the moon floating in a cloud strewn sky to a magnificent daytime view overlooking the lovely harbour of Khal, situated on the Qalian continent. Its all there, its beautiful to look at, and we are asking you to capture those memorable screenshots of your journey in Telon, the world of Vanguard.
What this competition revolves around is displaying one of the best features of the Vanguard universe and getting players to show off their camera skills.
Here is your chance to prove Vanguard's great artwork and get into the running for a first prize of 1000USD, or a second or third prize of 400USD each.
What we are looking for is that players submit their Vanguard: Saga of Heroes screenshots, emailing them to frontdesk@emmhouse.com, along with a caption (not on the image), the location of the screenshot including region and continent, explaining what we are looking at (not on the image and can be different to the caption) and your name. You may also place screenshots on the official sony forum, preferably on this thread, so other players can see them, but unless it is emailed to frontdesk@emmhouse.com, your entry will not be valid. Please save the image as a jpg file before emailing.
What are we looking for in this Vanguard Screenshot Contest? First prize of USD1000 goes to best Vanguard screenshot overall, second prize of 400USD goes to best landscape screenshot (this means no people in it, but boats, buildings are allowed) and third prize of 400USD goes to best person/people screenshot (this has one or more people in it as its main focus, but in all cases remove guild and player names and the interface by pressing the toggle key).
This is your chance to support the SOE Vanguard community effort and show off the great artwork that is present in the Vanguard: Saga of Heroes universe.
The final judging will be held on 30th September 2007 and all judges decisions are final. Several judges will be chosen from the Vanguard community and those judges are not allowed to enter the competition. One screenshot can only win one prize, it cannot win more than one prize, so there will be three winners. The three winners will be rewarded with the relevant prize money through paypal once the final judges decisions are made, so a valid paypal account is required from the winners. All Vanguard screenshots must be originally taken by those entering into the competition, players cannot borrow someone elses screenshots. Players are allowed to enter as many screenshots as they wish, and please press the toggle key to remove the user interface before snapping that camera.
