Yes, WoW is pretty generous with the extra characters on one account. No extra charge. Technically you can have 8 characters on every single server. So that is a hell of a lot of alt characters. Technically however it is against the EULA to have more than one person using the same account. Well regardless enjoy... I love WoW and don't let the haters get ya down.
I believe the limit is 60 characters over all server as well.
I had no idea they had a character limit for all servers but then again who would really have 600 characters.
I have a friend who has like I think 8 characters on like 5 servers I believe you can have that many on as many servers you want.
You can use one account and even one server with multiple people. As long as you don't play at the same time, it should be fine.
I have around 20 characters (14 or so of them are banks :D) and no increase on my monthly fee, only way that you would be able to do something to one of his characters is to create macros. But if your starting a new character you won't need macros for ages
Personally, I'd get the trial and try it out, instead of messing with his account, you'll probably enjoy it more and he can be on and help you out ,too. Edit: also, multiple people on an account can be a nightmare for guilds too. We've had a few people say 'but I didn't take that from the guild bank, my brother must have been playing'. We tend to give a warning and explain to them they need to get their bro an account or change their password, as if it happens again we can't afford to leave ourselves open to abuse, even if the original guild member is innocent (knowing that it could all just be an excuse anyway).
I had several characters at once on WoW when I played. Of course, my main problem was a lack of focus. I'd get to level 15 with a warrior, then decide I wanted a paladin, get to level 16, decide I want a priest...
its called "alt-itus" | |
can you have multiple characters on one account? and if you can, does it add to the monthly fee? i dont actually own WoW but my sis' boyfriend does and i want to create a character on his account instead of messing with his...you know the whole "why did you do that? i dont want that spell wtf?" situations? i'd like to avoid that.
