It's a combination of Space combat and ground combat (a mixture of shooting and melee, I think). You start off in charge of your own ship and crew, and you can take on different specialities, including - Engineering officer (Shields, turrets, can lay mines) These specialities can overlap (So a science officer can find a medical kit). The missions are a mixture of 'kill ten X' randomly generated missions, and more layered story driven missions. And yes, it is catering to Star Trek fans primarily. This help at all? | |

It will take more than a JJ Abrams film to stop Trek being Nerdy. It is, however, one of the least nerdy of the nerdy shows as it is so widespread. An MMO? Yeah that's really nerdy, but who cares? | |
