Out of curiousity, I am a lifetime CO subscriber, and one of the perks was access to the STO closed beta. I have yet to hear anything about this, and figured it was pointless to register since I was already "in". Is there something specific I am supposed to be doing for access, or do I just wait for an invite with it being for "later phases" of closed beta?
On top of this I'm wondering if there is a lifetime subscription plan for Star Trek Online. I'm wondering simply because of all the contreversy over the one for Champions Online. Not sure if I want lifetime with another game, but so far I was happy with the deal, and might consider it if this game looks decent. Albeit I'm probably going to expect a larger amount of content on launch since CO turned out to have a very small world (comparitively speaking).
Looks like this was a raging discussion on CO/STO forums today.
And it seems rather unfair considering you were supposed to be int he first wave of closed Beta invites.
But looks like Cryptic is working its way through the list:
<Cryptic_Stormshade> We're getting people who purchased CO lifetime and six month subs into the beta as quickly as we can while still meeting our requirments.
<Cryptic_Stormshade> Server population cap is a requirement, and something we have to take into account.
