| STO has potential, and I hope they get some things sorted out. I have played too many mmo's that got rushed out early and end up failing to see this happen here. My main complaint for the game is the PvP system. Many times in ground pvp you can be pitted yourself versus 5 enemies, which usually does not end well. And this said group has likely been sticking together for a while, so they are good, don't rush in and play like Lemming Leroy Jenkins clones. But even worse, this group will sit at the spawn in and wait for the unfortunate soul that decides to try it out.
All this bein said, I am fairly good at ground pvp but I can't find a Federation clan that primarily does it. 1 out of 10 groups I get into will be a good group and after we win they just leave the group. And funny thing is I see them the next match anyways sometimes. I don't know why people leave good groups, it is confusing. But ultimately, the goup is to kill 40 of them before they kill 40 of you.
Common sense would tell you that if you stick with your group you have 5 people to shoot. But for me, it seems my team mates after respawning will run right into a spawn of 3 to 5 enemies to get killed. It am still unsure if they are either so noob to not know any better, or if they are just too lazy to run the other way around the ship to regroup with your time. I am starting to think it is the later. But anyways if I could find 4 other GOOD ground Fed players, hit me up! I got really good gear and loadout to be a great team player!
(What am I doing instead? I am doing Open Beta for Mortal Online! Old UO rules in a 3d world. Since I don't want to get flagged for spam I won't list the link to my video I did on it showing the thief class. But I have about 2,000 views in the last couple days from it. I suppose if you would like to see it PM me and I will post the link. Or if a MOD will give the thumbs up I will edit and add it here. |
