Looks good, but I'm still unsure about it, think most people will play Human.

They have to add a lot more interesting stuff for me to even begin considering at the moment. My next gaming Sci-Fi fix is slated to be TOR...

If that doesn't allow for some creativity, then what does?

I would really want to play that. As a Klingon even.

I can't help but feel that song they play during it is far to close to the star wars theme song. Can't wait for them to release more on it.

Looks weird, might be good though

I think the "create your own race" thing is good, though it has some flaws. I won't mention them here because I'm lazy.
I just hope they don't use it the way AoC used its "mature" rating. A gimmick like that would just ruin this whole seemingly promising game.

Hm this trailer doesn't really show anything other than some graphical goodness. I would have preferred to see a demo of the actual character generation process, including the class/skill selection.

I am just glad to see Klingons as playable that will probably be the biggest draw for me in regards to this game. I am pretty excited but I don't want to get too much into the hype...I learned my lessons from AoC.

Well, the character generator looks quite robust. I'm still not sure if I will actually play it or not.

Doubt it, I think most people will create their own race, resulting in the game world being 1 big clusterfuck of user generated races (all with just 1 member of the race alive, talk about endangered species) destroying any form of immersion in a Star Trek universe. I say no thanks against custom species.

Whoaaa!

That looks immense. The only problem I see is the custom species, like Assassinator said, I can't imagine how many different races will have been created by the time it reaches its peak.

It was good, but not great. I await it with caution.

Releasing it for Linux. (playable without having to use wine mind you...)

I'm kind of hoping that they aren't shooting themselves in the foot with the amount of customization they are allowing. I'm not quite salivating over this MMO yet, as TOR is holding my attention more, but I know a couple who are and found this to be interesting, even a bit cool, but nothing groundbreaking.

Time will tell as it gets closer I guess. I was pretty tempted to do the 6 month subscription for CO for the beta access, but then my senses returned to me, seeing as I didn't even use all of my free 1 month sub to CO before I cancelled.

Fate it seems is not without a sense of irony.

Why create your own race when you can be a Klingon? The mind boggles!
