More Beta Invites Have Gone Out

If you are one of the 500,000+ people that signed up for the Warhammer Online beta, James has just posted some very good news over at the Warhammer Herald. Apparently there are a few more people in the beta test now.

We've sent out a handful of invites to folks who have been waiting for a while now and met our current eligibility requirements. This includes event attendees, contest winners, and various other associations.

This is just the beginning, keep your eyes peeled - there are more to come!

I've signed up to this bloody game years ago with like a dozen different emails, specifying a range of computer spec's and making all the right "why I want to be in beta" comments.

SO WHY THE [fig-newton] HAVE I NOT BEEN INVITED!

... and NOW there are these eligibility requirements! When was this [poopy] introduced! Is it based on how many time you've [enjoyed the company of] the developers, or how in-bread you are with their families or something?

THIS SUCKS!! GIVE ME, MY dag-gum INVITE ALREADY!

*Mod-Notes: Easy slugger. Family friendly forums. Also, its "inbred" not in-bread....in-bread specifies you are pillaging their baked yeast products.

Signing up with multiple emails is probably a good way to make sure you never get in.

If you went ahead and read the next sentance, you would know what they meant about eligibility. Ya know, the one about event attendees, the winners of the various contests they've had for beta invites, they all have precedence over anyone who just signed up. Hell, I didn't even sign up using the same account I signed up for the newsletter with, so I don't even have that going for me.

$5 says you wouldn't submit a single bug report if you got in. So I guess what I'm trying to get at here is: QQ Moar.

I bet $5 anyone would send in a bug report for $5.

why don't they just have a fileplanet open beta or pre order beta???

They haven't announced a release date, so it's 2-3 months from the projected release. Also, they've stated that they won't be doing any kind of "you signed up, come get in beta" phases. Towards the end of beta, they'll start inviting people who've signed up in the beta center in much larger quantities, but it seems to me that will be the only way to get in, or the various contests they've held.
