I dont think healer/buffers can change Int in any way. Or maybe that is just orcs... [Edited by Hubris at 3:51 PM on 6/3/2005]
I have a EE friend who's gotten a Wit+4 Int-4 tattoo. He loves the casting speed but he now has to BSpS his sleep for them to work. Although, as an SE that shouldn't be as much of an issue since you have empower and a higher INT to start with.
I believe it is a +wit -men tattoo as EE's cannot get -int tattoos
I had a bishop once upon a time ago. I lamented heavily the fact that SHs could increase Int by dropping Men, but my bishop couldn't drop Int for Wit. I decided to get a +2 Int -2 Men tattoo. I remember my mp regen times being barely tolerable. In dungeons, I had to sit all the time, and I would still run out of mp. I only ever got him to level 42 or so. However, having +2 Wit, Karmian set, and bishop self-buffs (such as they were) made me a frightfully fast caster. I think I even gave some elves a run for their money.
Now that I have finished my second class change, I have been toying with the ideas of tattoos. As a buffer/healer, I have been thinking of going with the +4 Wit / -4 Int dyes since I don't really have anymore attack spells. My question is two-fold:
1. Since I only have root, will reducing my Int decrease the effectiveness of my root or the power of my heal?
2. Would it be possible to get both a +4 Wit / -4 Int tattoo as well as a +4 Men / -4 Int tattoo? If I do that, will I get a -8 Int to my character or will the maximum level of 5 attribute change cap that?
SEs just cast slow naturally, so I am trying to speed that up some. I already have a Homunkulus sword with acumen that really helps. So, since I don't have any experience with these tattoos, I was just looking for some advice from others with tattoos.
Thanks!
