click movement and no ah is way outdated, next year's new mmo releases could seal the deal on l2, drop it to the 50k sub range? maybe, but people still play ac1 and ultima, so go figure.

click movement is my preferred playstyle. ah eliminates many aspects of a market.

4-5 hours a day would take you half a year. factor in another half a year spent on farming adena.

just cuz u like click movement dosent mean its not out dated=p its going the way of side scroller games imo, people still like those but there nolonger the norm.I belive haveing a solid function for both click movement and wsad is best, and most games created after l2, have managed this perfectly.And as far as me pushing th ah system, it just cuts out city lag imo, people that arent even playing, just selling, dont have to be logged in. Lotro,eq2,wow and even some free games pull this off, and you can still turn a profit selling stuff in that system. L2 will be like starcraft, it will never ever truely die, not completly...but life support might be involved.

As long as "new' games continue with the stock method of releasing without the features they promise, L2 will continue to do well. Beside the fact, that most newer games are still using instanced worlds, some HEAVILY. Talk about outdated.

And dont give me that crap that it is a resource saving avenue. EVE, L2, WoW have all been doing it and doing it well.

L2 still offers what other games fail to deliver. A seamless world with open PvP. No zoning, no instance gank-and-run. And the following in Korea is insane, that alone will almost guarantee its continued existance here in NA as long as they can turn a profit.

Half a year to hit 70? Sorry but, lol. With the new 1-20 banzai run, Kamaloka, Vitality system, Raids adding Vitality, Quest Xp increases, etc... I hit 60(on an DE SE)in less than a month playing WAY less than 4hrs a day. Maybe 20 hrs a week total, with NO weekend play. And that is with "legit" player controlled leveling, lol.

Adena farming is a thing of the past. With common item drops, I have seen A grade weapons for 10mil, sometimes less. You dont even need to buy any weapons for NG/D/C, just use the "shadow weapons". All of your drops can now be sold and your adena can be pretty much saved from level 1-52. Heck, you dont even pay for the gatekeepers till after level 40 or so.

The time investment to get to a viable level so you can enjoy some of the high end content is now dramaticaly reduced. You wont hit 80 next week, but 70 is VERY doable in a reasonable time frame.

I'd say give it a try. Hemi already summed it up. Adena is no problem at all until 61, and if you don't mind using common items, it's not a problem until S-grade. Common items are weapons and armor that have the same P. Atk and P. Def as the normal items, but they can't be enchanted, augmented, or have an SA put on them.

Populated servers? For Europe, go Luna or Teon. If you are in N. America, go Bartz.

Also, to give you another idea about how much easier they made leveling, I took my sws from 40-52 in a fraction of the time that it took me to get from 20-40. Honestly, things really only slow down slightly at A-grade. Everything before then is easy.

The profit turning thing is true, but I wouldn't count on the Korean following factor being a decisive reason for continuation in future. Korean insane followings are hitting more and more titles, which is beginning to dilute them to just "following". I don't really understand this cultural trend in Korea to go nuts over one or two games, I'm predicting that particular trend will change.

And while there is little "gank and run" there is a hell of a lot of "gank and stay there to gank again".

It's a good game, lovely to look at, but starting a new character... uhhhh... It will require a bit of dedication to get the ball rolling. After you do though there should be some decent gaming in there for at least a year.

HEMI what Lineage 2 have you played I played for nearly 3 years from open beta till c5 on ERICA ( yes i do have screen shots lol )

Lineage 2s grind is insane UNLESS you bot. I remember 8 hour grind days in TOI getting 5% at level 73 maybe I would get 6 or 7% not and then, rarely. This was with 8 others in the party no bots non stopping it sucked not running bots.

you never earn any decent adena just grinding, most around 90% ran and still run bot trains 24/7 to make their money. I know they increased their adena some but it wasnt that much.

MOST of us and anyone who says they didnt is a liar bought adena way way back in the day. EVERYONE I knew did period. Even the most straight forward players had no choice. I had to buy it when i hit grade C and had only a few hundred thousand adena, and i needed around 7 millionoish for grade C YEAH...that was fun

As for no ganking and running in Lineage 2? your kidding me PKPK and use a blessed scroll to escape its done daily and by everyone. You also forgot about the gate ganking lol yes plenty of ganking in lineage 2 LOTS of it know it well.

LIneage 2 has failed in North America and European countries. They have admited it. When i quit it was dead 2+ years ago. Its very dead now. At the begining of this year they offered their server transfers and many did, they they MERGED servers WHOA wait a minute why a paid transfer and a free merge? Why didnt they just merge their dead servers first? WAIT they needed to rip off as many as their remaining players there was left.

The mergers actually made the 6 servers into 3 even more empty.

Lineage 2 isnt seemless, there are many places as you move through the enviorment were you will lag slightly as you load the next area. One i remember well is the area just before the forbidden gateway coming from the cemetary. I remember it cause of all the pvping we did there and that one damn area always pissed everyone off. Each area has a lag point as you load the next area BUt that one argh

NOW what lineage 2 still does offer now days is blazing graphics, is few games if any who can match Lineage 2s graphics. Their female t00ns are so damn hot, the better the armor the less and more sluttier it is. You can tell them people at ncsoft get off on their Lineage 2 t00ns. The hottest female t00ns in any mmorpg. Even the female ORC is sexy as hell.

PVP yep lineage 2 pvp is much fun. PKPK GANK and gank and every uses a blessed scroll to escape and they bitch at the others for using them and they didnt. I personally never had mine on my bar, but look at everyones screens shots they never use theirs they say but they all have them ready on their short cut bars lol eeehhh yeah

But for pvp lineage 2 is fun so long as you never played anything else pvping. The pacman movements in lineage 2 are so dated it drove me nuts when i went back for a couple of months after being use to more dynamic movement of other mmorpgs. But pvp is very easy straight line fights not much more run straight attack back up attack sometimes some side to side movement attack but thats side to side is very rare. My daughter at 8 years old was a nasty pvpier in Lineage 2 it wasnt hard to master.

Lineage 2 is a DEAD game. They barely break 1500 people anymore at pek times on the North american servers. I have a program that tracks their server useage.
MOst of the few die hard L2 players i know have quit, the merges just destroyed it. Some I thought would never ever quit and they have given up.

Ncsoft has always fudged their numbers BADDLY I have email from ncsoft, and i did post it on l2blah and it did shock people. they ahve ONLY sold around 250,000 games in north america AND European towns

now they claim 17 million people playing Lineage 2, where 4ish million in south Korea 3ish million in china a few hundred thousand in japan and america and europe 250,000ish
WEll a friend of my went to south korea his wif is from there and he couldnt find hardly anyone who played it in a couple of years. It was way dead there from its 4 million peak a few years ago

Lineage 2 has 17 million playing but no math adds up and why doesnt the industry see it as the biggest mmorpg with the most players AS they claim? Simple its a bullshit they cant prove them numbers so everyone ignores them.

I also ran a private server for nearly a year the things they keep from the players is sad in C1 all the c3 content was sitting there everything. But the made their playes wait 6 months for it. We were using what ncsoft called HACKED and fake gear well until c3 was released and well it was the same thing lol ahh yes Lineage 2 slutty t00ns pretty graphics and not much else

i read most of his wall o text, despite the fact that is was 85% typo's. I think he failed to realize we arent talking abiut how L2 WAS,but instead, about its recent,or current status. Sure alot of what he said had elements of truth,but it was also heavy on the assumptions. It basicly boils down to a rant loaded with bullshit.
