While Conan won't have more than 3 races at launch, and they are all Human, what race do you wish to play? My first character will likely be a Stygian. Mmm, snakes. But I guess no snakeskin boots for those guys!

Cimmerian here. I would love for more "Races" to be possible, but it's scarcely a deal breaker. The devs said that there are already a few expansions in planing, so I'm hoping :D

My family tree goes back to medieval Greece, Rome, and Malta, so I guess I'd like to play a character with a similar background. But of course this will only be for my first character, an Aquilonian Soldier/Guardian and follower of Mitra!

I think a variety of playable races would be good, but at the same time there should be some races that remain unplayable, NPCs. But we'll see what expansions have to offer first. ;)

I am of direct decent of the McDonalds of Clan Ranald(The Lords of The Isles,http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lord_of_the_Isles ), a Western Highlands clan (Norse Gaelic http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaelic-Norse ) as well as the Arkleys, another Norse/Gaelic clan, but located on the East coast of Scotland, via my Grandmother. Therefore, many of my fore-fathers and for-mothers, were undoubtedly Pictish (historic ones). (..and yes, Robert E. Howard thought they deserved better, as do I...) ....never mind the rest of my family tree which consists of Welsh/Cornish, Irish, English and Spanish elements, which if u mix em all together, reduce the level of sophistication, and increase their hard-ass-ness, then that makes a Pict of Howardian proportions, (in my opinion) By Crom!!!!!!!!

Pffft. Bathing started helping against germs only in the beginning of the 18 century, and..Ya, buggering snakes is just..wrong man.

I'm also leaning toward Stygian. I usually try to mix things up in every MMO I play, taking on a different main class or a different bent as far as the lore allows. The Stygian look and mysticism is appealing, and I'm almost sure I don't want to tank this time, so the lack of soldiers doesn't bother me too much.

If I was ever going to make a Stygian, it would have to be an Assassin.

I figured Stygian because I want to be a Herald of Xotli, but maybe this doesn't make sense since Stygians are Set fanatics? Would Aquilonians be able to become Heralds?

Hmmmm...(yes, get ready to be baited..).....If I created a Cimmerian or Aquilonian called Snake,with an eye patch, duel wielding who wore black leather...would u call him Plissken if he said u could?

Going for a roman like ranger ;) seem to be more agile than the cimmerian and stronger than the stygian race so i'll go with Aquilonian.
