Yes, indeed they are, but you cannot simply stereotype that because somebody on some level had help from a buddy dev it means that anyone affiliated with BoB are rotting scumbags. Indeed the majority of BoB and its affiliates are composed of just regular folk who have lost much through a highly questionable game mechanic.
There is no need to blur the line between BoB as an alliance, and the people that play for BoB.
BoB is dead, "WOOT YES! Best thing that's happened in Eve!" But, I can't help but feel some sort of sympathy for their players (the cheaters excluded).
If BoB had died "fair and square" through prolonged siege and proper conquest, then I doubt anyone would be showing such emotions, because then they would have lost ... well, they would have lost in a "fair" way.

1. I thought the entire point of nullsec was the lack of... well, almost anything regulated. You run your own show almost completely. So the lack of leadership shown that allowed it to happen is no one's fault but BoBs. You can blame the guy who disbanded the alliance, I'll blame the guy who gave him that power.

2. Rank and file players should have no issue finding other corps or alliances to work in. If these guys were in fact so great, it shouldn't be an issue.

A "normal" player lost space. That's nullsec. If this was such a huge issue for these players, they could have stayed in empire. They decided to head out to nullsec for their reasons, this is one of the things that happens.

I don't get it. What's with all your "I thought"s and "supposed to be"s? Do you actually even play?

Because I'm not so silly as to give definites on that.

Yes I thought that was how nullsec was supposed to be. But with everyone boohooing the poor BoB people who didn't lose ships or money or skills, I'm tempted to think everyone is sad they lost safety.

If they were so concerned about having a safe little place to have fun, they should have stayed in empire with us carebears. They didn't, they got burned. If they're so tough, they can handle it without people consoling them.

True, true. I guess I should have qualified my comment. When I say "BoB was one of the most corrupt corps in the game", I am aiming that statement at the actual Directorate of the corp. Not the grunts in the trenches.

Similar to our current government. O'Bama and his Harvard buddies are spending money like a crack-head that won the Lotto, but that hardly defines our troops in Iraq.

As far as a questionable game mechanic, well...thats EVE. It was definately a loophole, but one that plagues every corp. BoB got lazy and they paid for it. From what I read, that guy was supposed to have those rights removed months before this happened.

Hm? Wasn't he one of the longer-term members?

Yea, but in the voice chat I listened to(Goons), he stated that his privledges were supposed to have been removed as he had not played that char for some time.

Basicly an oversight by the rest of the admin in the corp.

So much drama in this game, I wish i played it long enough to fully appreciate how big this is.
