Apprentice Posts: 9 Joined: 19 Nov 2008 | I'm really wanting to love this game, because the concept and I've been waiting on it since I found out about it in 2003....but man, Aventurine really could do a better job running this endeavor. I mean, couldn't they hire one web programmer to update the site and communicate with the community. A large portion of the community has been nothing but great about all the bullshit that has gone down, but we get very little in communication about what is happening.
The reason I post this now is how they have handled the launch. The fact that it is one of the worst launches in mmo history is a little discouraging, but games always have problems. What bothers me, is the lack of communication from the company and dev's about the launch status. I feel bad for the people who pre-ordered, got charged, and can't get into the game. I'll be waiting for the NA launch myself, by then I figure the bugs will be ironed out.
I have high hopes for Darkfall, but unless Adventurine starts communicating and treating their community with more respect....I fear the game will fail and be another shadowbane, a couple of thousand players on one or two server's that barely feed in enough income for the company to run the servers. |

I really thought all the fanbois were gonna be correct a few months ago when they were all saying that communication would pick up when the game launched, but I've seen nothing but problems so far. I give Darkfall less than 3 months in it's current state. |

I think easily-disappointed players should give the game 6-12 months and check back. |
