I have been runnign a private server with World of Warcraft, is there anyway I can do the same with asheron's call? I used to love it but I don't feel like investing any more moeny into it. Thanks!

If there are free UO servers and free WoW and they dont get in trouble because they dont charge thier clients, then how would AC be any different?

doesnt the EULA only bind you when you are playing ingame on one of their servers? Also, why dont the UO and WoW EULA's prevent people from hosting their free servers?

7.         We reserve the right to prohibit the use of any third-party software to change game play in Asheron's Call, without prior notice to you.  Asheron's Call may be played only through authorized worlds or servers maintained by Turbine or its subcontractors.  You may not create or provide any other means through which Asheron's Call may be played by others, as through server emulators.  You may not take any action which imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our servers or other infrastructure.

Like all piracy, it can be hard to stop. That doesn't make it OK, and it doesn't mean they won't come after them when they can.

If you want AC1 to survive, and not get canceled like AC2 was, then please support Turbine and don't steal from them. You hurt everyone who loves and cares about AC when you do.

Wow lol, how ridiculous.

I've already payed my fair share to turbine, which I hate for what it has done to Asheron's Call. Asheron's Call was much more better and balanced when it was controled by Microsoft games. Thats the game I want to play, not the newly updated Asheron's Call.

My private server would simply be only for me, noone else.

I hate what Asheron's Call has become.

I've played private AC servers, it can be done. I have not, however, played private WoW servers. Any info on that?

bobobo you said you have played on private ac servers... where could i find one that i could download and use only for myself? If you could help, that would be very much appreciated! I don't want to make a host server... just me running it on my pc for me alone.
