I'll admit, I've never played Aion, but that is an impressive trailer. It looks pretty impressive, and if I was to start up an MMO, this would probably be the one I'd play. It seems like a fun setting and good gameplay.
I don't even want to consider how much kinah that kind of stuff would cost. Last time i played the economy was so bloated from gold-sellers the only option you had was to buy it in order to stay competitive.
Scarcely any of it has been implemented as of yet, and it's been god knows long since it has been released. It's pure PR, the kind NCwest rely on heavily. "If you stay on for just another month, you MAY have a chance at seeing these shiny features. If you're lucky! ;)" Most of these things in the video would probably just be a huge kinah sink anyway and only be available to the "l33t"; in a lucid use of the term.
If this is what they're thinking of implementing, then I can't wait. New features have been shown in the 1.9 and 2.0 patch notes that interest me and I'm looking forward to them, but this is crazy. Better graphics, more skills (damn impressive ones too), player built houses and villages, mounts, swimming, boats, giant creatures, a dynamic weather system and robots that fuck up all your shit. If this becomes a reality, it'll be immense. I just hope they're not releasing this to make people continue playing, only for them to never implement the features.
I like Aion, it's my favourite MMO on the market, I hope these features do get released because they'll make a ton of difference.
To any Aion players, what do you think of this? Excited? Don't give a shit? GO.
