Blizzard has stated that the only D2 class making a reappearance would be the Barbarian. The Witch Doctor appears to be D3's Necro equivalent.

However, that might change if there's another very interesting class, of course. The first step to being right all of the time is to realize that you're wrong most of the time. |

So this if the first Diablo game that I'm going to play within a decade of its realease and was just wondering what the most popular class is going to be. I'm rolling a wizard as I... always do in everything ever. As there have only been three out of the five original classes confirmed, you're going to have to pick from the three confirmed ones :)
