Have you ever surrendered using the white flag button against a monster or in the free league(I do not know if you can surrender in the free league). Honestly, I have never tried surrendering whenever I go into battles. Because there are still chances of winning as long as the main character is alive. The downside of not surrendering is resurrecting your mercenaries whenever they die. So have you surrendedered? Why or why not?

I have tried surrendering or escaping from a battle. I usually do it during boss battles.:P When I see that my chances are really slim, then I would rather escape and try to level up first than lose all my mercenaries. I haven't tried escaping from a free league, though, since, well, your mercs are revived after a match.:)

yes, i have surrendered in my battles. i guess it is better to loose a bit of your exp and having your main character alive than lose exp and die at the same time. hahaha!

I have a question. What will happen if, instead of using the surrender button, I would rather just log my character out, in cases which I know for a fact that I will eventually lose the battle?
